Guess I won’t tune in today then.

Yeah I do not plan to either. I am honestly not that surprised this was agreed to, club has been heading in this more corporatized direction for the past few years now. I understand why but it's a punch to the gut for someone who has been following them since the beginning.

Dion, used to be one of the leaders of NGS back in the day and he kind of summarizes how I feel.

Haaland on a hat-trick inside 10 minutes. Chelsea are calamitous at the back.

Worst result of pre-season last night but I think the first half is the best we’ve played. Would like to see the first team playing like that.

Xavi Simons seems to have a good head on his shoulders re going back to RB Leipzig instead of the Premier League. He'll get his day in the sun eventually.

Arthur Melo. What a career he’s had. Forgot about him entirely.

I've said on here before that I find the coverage of children in academies weird, but today I saw people posting footage of a 14 year old in Arsenal's academy (that we'll just call Max), because he played and bossed a U18 game in midfield.

Sure, it's not like he was unknown. Arsenal fans know who he is. For all the talk of Nwaneri and Miles Lewis Skelly, there's talk that this kid if infinitely more talented - I've heard non-Arsenal people talk him up and he's supposed to be one of the brightest prospects in football. And yet, he's a fucking kid.

You change so much at that age, he doesn't need people online posting video analysis of him. Just odd behaviour and so much expectation to put on his shoulders.

I just think between the purchase of the Philadelphia Union kid, and the constant sniping of South American talent, football is in such a weird place. Maybe I'm the one overthinking it though?

Yeah I find it all very fucking odd too. I’ve always followed the United academy but something’s changed in the last two or three years and from fans it seems so much more insidious, you have twitter accounts dedicated to getting scoops about 14/15 year old kids and analysing them like they’re fully grown professional adult footballers. It’s all very odd.

I do think that FIFA need to do something about teams buying underage players (children, really), especially when they can’t officially join for 1/2 years.

Football Twitter is the purest rot stinking its fume over everyone with whom it comes into contact.

Nice to see clubs doing what little they can

  16. What is happening with this Conor Gallagher situation? It seems like the delay is all on his end.

Feels like he doesn’t actually want to move out of the country and is trying to delay it hoping another team swoops in

This one keeps picking up more steam it seems like

  22. Sounds like he’s an Ange preferred target. So I’ll get onboard with it.

  23. Article also says Ange wants a new striker so Son can play LW more consistently. That’d imply that Richy is staying? Bringing in Solanke and selling Richy would just put Son as backup striker again.

Judging by this reception, he'll see his contract out at Brentford.
