Honestly very hard to truly come to terms with that news. He was such a larger than life character, and whilst he had issues, it felt like he had a lot left to give. An immense talent, and someone who was entertaining on and off the pitch.

Took a look at Maradona's wiki and hot damn, the list of his individual awards is insane

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Shame to see him go at such a relatively young age, but I'm not shocked. I don't know if any of you saw that Netflix documentary of him managing (I think) a Mexican side, but he looked in pretty bad shape even then. A man who had definitely lived more than his years.

Vidal is an absolute weapon. Very satisfying red card.

  9. Just looking at the box scores and seemed like a lot of red cards for one day haha

Maradona was the greatest of all time. A sad, sad day. There will never be another like him, on and off the field.

Digne's ruled out for 2 months with an ankle injury. Shitty news. It's a good job Nkoukou has shown a lot of promise in the League Cup games so far this season. He just might excel in our new wing back formation where he can attack at will.

Brilliant win. Mix of bench players and kids and after a slow first half they were great in the second.

Pepe responded to his red card brilliantly. He was running at people, tracking back, linking play. Scored one and unlucky to not get three. Nelson was great too.

Smith Rowe came off the bench to get an assist and a first senior goal for Balogun, who I think is a better prospect than Nketiah to be honest.

Good win, and Molde looked quite good early on.

I'm convinced he was looking for the long ball to Bale!

  19. Dane Scarlett has loads of potential. I’ve read his name a lot due to his U21 performances but today was the first chance time I’ve actually watched him. Looks like he could be special.

Remember when people were angrily arguing for months over whether Wilshere or Winks should start in midfield for England, and the answer was neither all along?
