Mbeumo is a good signing no doubt, but realistically this should've been wrapped up at least a month ago

 

Tbf, I personally think it has the potential to be a good signing if:

a) Mbeumo can apply himself on a much bigger stage than Brentford's. No offence lurker Bees.
b) Mbeumo can apply himself away from Frank who has been his coach since he was 19.

Anyway, my comment was based solely on @AFoolsGlory and his hesitation.

 

Just to clarify, he's a good player and will undoubtedly make the team better. Is he worth £70m? I'm skeptical, but I guess when you've got Gittens going for £50m, Elanga going for £55m, then you'd say that's his value. I just think it's an overpayment when the team has way bigger needs than another 10, and clearly has limited funds.

It would mean in the current squad for two positions, they have - Mount, Mainoo, Zirkzee, Cunha, Mbeumo, Bruno and Amad when not in other positions. Plus whatever combination of Rashford, Garnacho, Sancho, Antony stay at the club. Feels overloaded when they've only got 1 game a week.

Not to mention fucking about and dragging the move out for over a month, just to pay more than the initially quoted price.
