Lads, let's not forget City have signed Marcus Bettinelli this window, too.

Major word coming out is Gyokeres favors Arsenal move over United. Would be very funny if the game of which striker goes where plays out in a way that would leave the Swede with no large club to move to. Nothing personal against him but particularly after all this player and agent vs Sporting drama would be a good laugh to see them stuck with each other.

  3. I’m sure he’d be happy to link up with a couple Swedes at Spurs

  4. I think Inter Miami will lose tonight

The Times Square video plus what looks to be a pretty full house in Miami tonight has me feeling better about the reception to this tournamebt

That wasn't a bad game at all. Messi's last corner was crazy had it gone in.

He had three+ balls that certainly could have found the back of the net. Would have been sweet

Makes sense. One is in the CL and competing cor trophies and the other is just starting a new cycle. He’s 27 so probably thinks he needs a project that’s already competitive.

The issue is that we clearly prefer Sesko over him lol. There’s also the issue where he’s basically at war with Sporting, who are demanding more money than everyone thinks he’s worth.

But I’ve seen strong links with Juventus, so that could be a very interesting move for him, and one that suits his style of play better.

His agent could not be doing a worse job. Wow.

honestly, he’s the wrong signing for both teams. Absolutely does not suit Arsenal and I have my doubts about him translating his skillset to PL defenders. But, if this is true it’s genuinely hilarious.

Yeah, he suits a transitional team, we face about 34 league games of teams camped in their own box. And the more I’ve watched him, the more positive I am that we should get Sesko instead.

What gets me is that players and agents don’t learn. How many times have we seen clubs go back on these “gentleman’s agreements” in recent years, and yet they still trust them…

I’m not a huge fan of Sesko either, I think the striker market this year is shit, but he definitely suits Arsenal way way more than Gyokeres. 52 goals last season and not a single headed goal is crazy work. 19 of them were penalties too which I don’t think he gets at either United or Arsenal.

  13. Atletico Madrid signing a couple defenders not named Romero gives me hope he’s gonna end up staying.

Yeah, I’m not 100% on Sesko either, but I think he’s the best of limited options.

He’s also really young. At his age, Isak was scoring 6 goals in La Liga, for instance. So I’m hoping/coping that he’ll have a similar trajectory.

Be twice the ocean. Be twice the land.

The Gyokeres situation reminds me a little of Osimhen where his value crashed and ended up on loan in Turkey despite him being so clinical and valuable.

I'm not sure the same thing will happen because Sporting don't have a Lukaku lined up, but these sagas can be so volatile lol.

I see we’ve been linked to Eikitike and he’s a boyhood United fan. Mad money but I was thinking about the Isak comparisons for him too

Arteta is also obviously still super hot on Havertz who will play a lot up front, which will allow Sesko to transition into the team without as much pressure as Gyokeres who would need to hit the ground running considering his value/age.

Portuguese clubs, historically, are a lot more savvy in the market than the Italians. They'll be wary of Gyökeres' value dropping. It's their bread and butter so to speak.

If anyone wants to watch something more competitive, England vs Slovenia in the U21 euros is on Channel 4 in the UK at the same time.

So that probably means Bayern has 6-7 players worth more than their entire squad
