    honestly he deserves better

usmnt is so unserious. I get this isn’t anywhere close to the ‘a’ team but I’m not convinced they’d do a lot better

Not really caring about the USMNT anymore was the smartest decision I have made in probably the past 10 years.

I blinked and missed the last two goals.

  5. This lineup is awful. C team. Feel bad for them.

  6. it’s always funny coming across the pictures of us in columbus way back when, since doing anything even remotely patriotic towards this country started to feel a little too queasy for me

    fun while it lasted though

Is that not the fucking truth, feels like its been a lot longer than the what 12 years its been.

On a different note, I regret those camo shorts so fucking much when looking at that picture. I am like why?

Extremely fond memories of that day, though. Despite everything.

I was just telling someone about when Mark found out you, Dani, and I walked into “our room” and a guy was sitting there in his underwear this weekend.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Poch’s entire career path post spurs has been bad decision after bad decision

good on you. With this supposed golden generation, it’s made it that much more frustrating to follow. So much hype after the 2018 WC about those in the pipeline and there hasn’t been much to show on the world stage (despite some success in CONCACAF). It sucks that some more established players have decided to forgo international competition in the summer leading up to the World Cup. Literally every match counts for chemistry and unity of play style under a new-ish manager aaaaaaand we have a bunch of key guys out. Sucks.

That is funny because last fall when when we were on vacation in Pittsburgh we walked into what we thought was our hotel room and there was a hotel worker painting the room. It made me think of that time and had to tell my fiance that story.

Lads, don't waste your energy in regards to international football, especially when your country has a guaranteed entry.

Moreover, I saw last night that an Everton academy graduate/reject Issac Price has as many international goals as George Best for Northern Ireland now. If that doesn't tell you it all means nothing.

Sané off to Galatasaray. I think Spurs have swerved him there.

Liew is such a smug prick at times. He was on Football Weekly once halfway through last season and I remember thinking that his criticism of Ange felt oddly personal.

I do think Ange’s next move is really interesting. He at once looks like slightly damaged goods after the league season, and an absolute fucking don for actually winning something at Spurs. I think a job outside the PL would be best, but maybe a lower-midtable side could take a punt on him.

  19. Ok made my parlay for the summer competitions.

Ended up going England U21, Canada, Man City.

All 3 are complete guesses but only $5 bet.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I hadn't realised what an utter joke the money situation around the club world cup was: Club World Cup: £97m in prize money available for Man City and Chelsea

It's bad enough that the entry payment for teams are different by region, but the fact that bigger European teams are being paid more than smaller European teams is laughable. Particularly when you consider how opaque the team selection is.

I hope the whole thing is a massive disaster and ruins pre-season for every team involved. May they all be crocked and broken by Christmas.

Perisic to Barcelona on a free is picking up steam. Do not hate that as squad depth at all for a season or two.

City are signing Sverre Nypan, an exciting Norweigan midfielder. One for the future.

I just read that it takes their spending since January to €250m. But remember, it’s a totally fair league…

  24. Yeah, it’s nuts.

I can list what’d be a good and realistic window for Spurs and it’d be miles inferior to what City does.

If I was to strap on the tin foil hat, I would suggest that the result of the charges having still not come out seems a little suspicious. Perhaps City know there’s a transfer ban coming?

Probably not the case, but certainly not impossible.
