  1. Werner is definitely gone as his loan is over. Richarlison likely going this window. And I really think Son may leave as well.

Tel made permanent. Sane on a free. Then a striker to replace Richy.

3 in and 3 out to revamp the attack. Not sure who the striker will be. Everything is kinda quiet right now as we wait for the Ange decision.

the financials around football are so fascinating and a prime example of money not actually being fucking real.

yeah it’s been weirdly quiet with so many large scale rumors out there about a takeover and little to no transfer rumors.

I agree with Son leaving. It’s been too quiet on his front about extending his contract for me to not think he’s leaving. And yeah, no clue on a striker replacement. Solanke needs someone behind him, he was absolutely exhausted by the end of the season.

This is a total guess, but I’d wager the heavy Jewish element to the fanbase is why so many other London clubs (other than local rivals like Arsenal) for some reason hate Spurs. Similarly, Arsenal and having a very black fanbase.

I imagine modern fans of West Ham, Millwall, etc, have no idea WHY they hate both clubs anymore, it’s just passed down from prejudices.

I think most of the rumors from yesterday are bullshit tbh lol people are just bored and desperate for some news.

But I really don’t get what’s taking so long to decide on Ange. That should’ve been done days ago. And here we are with nothing new on it.

Inzaghi going to Saudi is such a waste

  9. All this PSR talk has me thinking it isn’t doing what it is intended to do. Seems like the smaller clubs are constantly put in tough situations where they have no choice but to sell even if they have a relatively successful season. Big clubs can have horrible seasons and it not really matter as long as they aren’t relegated. Their advantage is still baked into their history. And the advantage seems to matter even more now.

Candid interview with Calvert-Lewin. He infuriates me on the pitch but I hate to see this. Hopefully he gets a contract offer somewhere he can find peace with himself.

It is kind of working though. Obviously there's still some gremlins and a giant blue elephant which needs sorting out, but the point of it is to make clubs behave within their means so that their futures as the community assets they are stay relatively secure. Yes, it makes it harder for the smaller teams, as they don't have the crazy revenue to spend their way upwards, but it also means they don't get left high and dry if their sugar daddy leaves.

Also, look how congested the league was this year. Clubs which are being run well are reaping the rewards. The usual suspects haven't been able to just go spend their way out of trouble in the last few years. There is now a built in sporting punishment for getting your recruitment wrong. It does seem to have curbed some of the more insane spending in the Prem.

  12. @KrisArronNev you guys take Bissouma and we’ll take Branthwaite. Thanks.

Haha. You've always been a comedian. Honestly, though, we don't need two "water carriers" in CM. Gana does Bissouma's job very well for us.

My idea is for Everton to offer Branthwaite a new contract over the summer. Include some incentives/clauses within it to sweeten the pot? If he signs, great, we'll hopefully progress up the table and deliver him his ambitions. Europe, England caps, etc. If he doesn't sign, then sell. Brutal? Yes. But we can't allow his value to drop for the vultures to come and get him for a low fee. Essentially, if we sell, I want it to be on Everton's terms. I'm looking at £80m. He's easily as good as Maguire was, definitely better than Fofana - remember him?

If a sale was to happen this summer, I'd want Estéve from Burnley as a natural left-footed successor. Then we could go for McAtee from City with the rest of the money. That would solve our RW problem in a heartbeat. Both of these players have been linked to us this summer, by the way. So they're not pipe dreams.

  15. I really don’t think Spurs are actually interested in Branthwaite. Or at least not seriously considering making a bid. We are looking for a LCB but it’ll have to be someone willing to be a backup to VDV. I think we’ll aim sorta high considering VDV’s injury history but not gonna be spending that kind of money at that position imo. And I think Branthwaite would be looking for a nailed down starting spot if he moved teams.

Sounds like Estéve could be good for you, then? He wouldn't demand a starting role straight away and Spurs have lots of games coming up. Estéve is rumoured to be £30m. You did business with Burnley for Odobert not too long ago...

  17. Yeah, it’s definitely a name I’ve seen fans throw out there. And would make sense I suppose. But I’ve only seen him linked to Palace and Bayern. By the time we figure out who our manager will be he‘ll likely already be signed somewhere…

Fucking hell, reports saying Mbuemo is asking for £250k a week.

Not sure how true that is, but if so he’s insane.

Regarding PSR, does the prize money from the Club World Cup come into consideration? Seems really unfair that Man City and Chelsea could be onto another handout.
