It’s hilarious how consistently awful, even going back to under Fergie, United are at winning second balls.

Embarrassing performance from Spurs here, on the same level as Liverpool when we went to Anfield. Any team with even a consideration of composure and cutting edge should be able to tear United apart week after week.

Rashford needed to take that on his left.

  9. All that possession and we couldn’t do anything with it because we have 3 DMs and a winger that we signed a few days ago out there.

United are soo bad at set pieces. Spurs could have had 3 or 4 already

When it comes to the combined effort of both defending and attacking set pieces United are easily the worst in the league, probably the worst in Europe and maybe even the worst in the world.

  16. I hate this season lol

our backline has been a mess but the attack has carried us. Defense gets healthy, now we’re down multiple attackers.

Must be the only team in the world that’s equally in danger of conceding from attacking corners as defending corners.

What did people think of the Garnacho penalty appeal? Feel like comms quickly moved past it, but the more replays you see, the more it looks a penalty to me

There are just way too many red flags to keep ten Hag around next season. Don’t really care what squad you have available, the lack of chemistry and playing as a unit is unforgivable. Half assed unconfident pressing, lack of any tactical cohesion, wide open midfield, horror show set pieces, not being switched on to start games and 2nd halves.

Just look at the way an Iraola has a team like Bournemouth playing, I don’t care what kind of structural nonsense is going on at United, it’s your job as a manager to get the absolute best out of your squad and this team is performing week after week as if they’ve never played with each other.

I'd give him another season if we get a new DOF in in the next 4/6 weeks. either way, nothing will change if the new owners don't get people in with a fucking back bone and fix the squad. as much as I think Varane and Case aren't and haven't been as bad as most say. they should be leaving this month and being replaced by younger players. it's pretty criminal that AWB, Lindelof and Dalot are all still at the club as much as I like the first two. McTominay too, really these are players a club like United shouldn't be struggling to replace.

Shouldn’t the best of coaches over achieve with a poor squad? I think all we’re asking for is to see performances on the weekend that at least reflect the fact that they spend all week training together. I refuse to believe that the squad is genuinely as bad as they’ve looked all year.

Isn’t it his responsibility to tell Bruno to slow things down in possession so that he can play more simple passes and we can retain possession more? If you can’t get a team to perform in the exact manner you expect them to, it’s literally your job to find a way to play to player’s strengths and find a way that works. We’re trying the same shit week after week and getting out coached and outplayed every week.

Oh I don’t entirely disagree at all. But getting a new manager in now is just putting them into another shitty situation. The United squad isn’t just bad, it’s completely disjointed. Look at our defence we have two players for each position but between them we don’t have a single back 4 that is well balanced for any style of play. Never mind a possession based system. The best defence includes Varane, who is great but not very good on the ball and invites pressure, and Dalot who is brainless 90% of them time.

Midfield? What’s a midfield? Mainoo is the only one that can actually control a ball under pressure. Only striker is a young lad who clearly isn’t ready to lead the line and the less said about the wingers, bar Garnacho I guess, the better.

it’s actually incredibly impressive how disjointed the United squad is. Even more so when you think about how no matter what team is put out there, its biggest weakness is everything modern football is built around. ETH shares a lot of blame for how bad his signings have been. But honestly, he shouldn’t have been in a position to make those signings. Someone, anyone should have said no.
