Damn that volley for Villa was going into the corner if it wasn't blocked

Not massively enjoying the precedent set by the home teams today.

Szczesny eventually had to lose as a starter for us. Glad it was in a game that "didn't matter" as much.

Wait, were we not all rooting for Villa in that tie? Did I miss the memo that PSG suddenly aren’t a reprehensible bullshit club up there with City and Chelsea?

Arsenal I’m begging you to not mess this up

It’s been brought up previously, but anyone with even a baseline understanding of college sports in America should totally get it, fan culture is much closer to mirroring the European/South American football fan culture.

Yeah I’m a big college sports fan, but I mostly think sports rivalries are dumb, personally

  14. I like rivalries. I like college sports. I get it. But singing about another team at every game is not the same thing that happens in college rivalries lol

  15. Arsenal sings about us as part of a rivalry. I call it corny as part of the rivalry. It’s all good.

I’ll sing about Spurs and Chelsea being shit until I die, and I find it funny when they do the same to us. It’s nothing personal. Guess it’s just a cultural difference.

The Rest Is Football interviewed Hector Bellerin, and it’s a brilliant interview. Touches on politics, activism, climate awareness, and his career as a whole. He’s the most articulate footballer I can remember and the information on how Arsenal & Betis have been learning from Forest Green is very interesting.

He’s set up a campaign group to promote less kit wastage too

how familiar are you with the politics of college football lol

Be twice the ocean. Be twice the land.

I'm pretty sure Tottenham fans were singing "Are you watching Arsenal?" on the way to the CL final in 2019?

It's just part and parcel of the rivalry.

I think the NLD stuff gets amplified a lot more because Arsenal/Spurs have been much more competitive than any other derby rivalry in the league over the last twenty years? (City/United has been uncompetitive, Liverpool have been miles away from Everton).

I am dreading today's game lol

If only Spurs fans were thinking of us when they did the poznan to celebrate losing a game to Manchester City.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I am excited to see what excuses get lined up next year when Arsenal don’t win the title again tbh
