  1. I was a Levy fan when most weren’t during the transition to the stadium and all the new facilities going up. I understood the vision at the time. Build the foundation of the club business-wise to eventually make you more competitive on the field. That’s pretty much what we were sold. And the business side of the plan worked. But then we just fumbled everything else. The club will argue they’ve spent on the squad. But they did so poorly and a little chaotically. Part of that comes from changing managers every other season. Part of it is just general poor recruiting. Every deal is “difficult”. They never identify a target and strike. It’s always drawn out and exhausting.

There’s really no reason we shouldn’t be able to compete with the best clubs. We have world-class facilities, play in a great league, and have tons of money.

  2. This clip is pretty damning.

In 23/24, Spurs spent the lowest % of their revenue on wages of any club in the PL.

One of the highest ticket prices in the PL.

Levy pays himself a higher salary than any other PL chairman.

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

Hope the media keeps the pressure on Levy and ENIC and force them to start to actually change. I doubt they will but I can dream.

  4. Dorgu will be a great pickup for United.

Makes sense for Ayden. Never going to get minutes at Arsenal, whereas apparently United are signing him to be a first team backup.

I have very serious doubts that he’s ready for that or will be at that level in the future, but good for him for trying.

Presume he’s an Evans replacement for when he leaves in the summer. So probably won’t get many/any minutes this season. I also wonder if we think we can move him back into midfield, because Kukonki is very highly rated by Amorim in the same position.

then again, I’m pretty sure Scoop said Chido was coming in for the first team which was laughable.

I think it’s probably more an Omari
Hutchinson deal now I think about it. Get him a good loan next season and make a big profit when you sell him on. Like that, I suspect Arsenal get a decent sell on with absolutely minimal fee to let him go this window.

Yeah that’s probably more it and I’d be shocked if it doesn’t happen more and more.

I mean, sure, that’s fucking nuts and I imagine those deranged people will be rightfully punished.

But, let’s not pretend this isn’t a massive PR campaign to cover themselves as an organisation and take the story away from how consistently shit they are at their jobs.

DCL and Mangala out for the season according to chatter. That's the last I see either of them in an Everton shirt, then.

  14. Free and not a position of need. Perfect Levy signing.

In fairness, Angel Gomes will be a tidy little signing if it goes through. Especially on a free. With the English Tax, you can always sell him for profit even if it goes wrong.

  16. Yeah, I like him as a player. And I guess since it’s a free, him being surplus is fine. It’s just funny that we have glaring needs and we opt for the free signing that we don’t really need.

I wouldn’t mind Gomes as an Eriksen replacement but why would he come to United to be a back up. Hope he gets a good move and does well though.

  18. Another one.

Be twice the ocean. Be twice the land.

You might have to pull out Teddy Sheringham and Ruel Fox from the retirement home to play against Brentford

Michael Oliver has been given the rearranged Merseyside derby! There literally is no deterrent, lads. No wonder why the "mistakes" keep happening,

  22. Odobert - Solanke - Johnson
    Maddison - Bissouma - Sarr
    Udogie - VDV - Romero - Spence
    Vicario

Our injured XI would probably finish top 6

  23. This is one I think Spurs might actually try to be aggressive on. We’ve wanted him for a couple years now but it was always the same answer, he didn’t want to leave Bayern.

He checks all the boxes for what Ange wants in an attacking player.
