Interested to see if Amorim tries to keep his favoured 3-4-3 despite the squd not really being suited to it, or he adapts his tactics.

Maybe it's better that I know nothing about the manager and have zero excitement. Been burned before thinking they got their guy.

I think LWB is the only real stumbling block. RWB isn’t ideal but it’s workable.

Haaland had 61 goal contributions in 22/23 and still showed up to the awards knowing Messi won. Real Madrid had an amazing season last year but really taint it by throwing a temper tantrum yesterday.

Fans of Portuguese teams are "used to it" so I've been told. I know a dude who supports Benfica.

Amorim keeping the seat warm until the summer for Gareth.

My wife and I went to the UK for our 10 year anniversary in August.

We went to the United/Fulham game, took the train up from London for the full experience.

Told her last night that, she said we literally saw the beginning of the end of ten Hag.

In fairness, the squad hasn't looked suited to football recently.

  9. I wonder if United will go for Gyokeres now? There is always the ‘star player follows manager’ talk whenever a manager moves clubs, but I’m not sure if there is actually any meaningful correlation.

I love Real Madrid for this. Sports needs maniacs because everything is so boring with such carefully crafted images out there. Get pissy about not winning an award and throw a temper tantrum, I love it lol. Might just be the pro wrestling fan in me but Vini should cut a promo or something now about how the whole world is against them and put, like, a fake Rodri through a table or something

Apparently United aren’t prioritising a striker. Rumours are that Arsenal and Liverpool want Gyokeres.

Hojlund is a very similar profile to Coventry Gyokeres so I really don’t see us going for him

Don’t think our squad building priorities have changed too much despite bringing in a 3 at the back manager. Midfield retool was always on the cards with Eriksen and Casemiro on their last legs, and left back was inevitable as well. The profile of who is brought in might look a little different but similar positions need to be addressed. The two CBs signed in the summer as well as consistent links to serious interest in Davies the last few weeks really makes me think this appointment has been a long term consideration.

Gyokeres gives me the heebie jeebies. I known it takes some players until their mid 20s to really come good and meet their potential but I’d be so wary

This is still classier than how he, the club and Brazilian media have actually behaved. :crylaugh:

Hopefully we can all come together and enjoy a revitalized United team riding the high of a new manager coming in absolutely smash a Chelsea side that have looked annoyingly decent to start the season, they seem like a true common enemy among a divided lot.

Napoli and Fiorentina being so good in Italy early on is a very pleasant surprise. Napoli are running away with the lead at the moment.

He’s getting better service from BHA midfield than MU could provide rn so I’m happy we didn’t.
