I love that big lump of a man. Highest scoring defender in the league since he arrived.

  2. Game over. We won’t get a goal now that Arsenal can just lockdown defensively.

Saka has got IT, if "IT" is a big game mentality. Great to see.

There's absolutely goals in this for Spurs, but their wide players have been horrendously profligate.

G Nev is spot on regarding Arsenal's love for defending. Remember this is Spurs away.

Absolutely useless. Waste chances left and right. Terrible defending. Some shit different game. Ange against top teams has been abysmal.

  10. I don’t think our defending has been terrible. They’ve played fine. It’s the attack having nothing. Son and Maddison provided nothing today.

  12. Game has gone about how I expected it to go. Arsenal spending most of the game sitting back, letting us have possession. Our guys can’t break through. They get a few counters. Defense did a good cleaning up on the counters.

Set piece mistake loses the game though.

  13. And this is how every team should play us until our guys prove they know how to score a goal

We turned up with so many missing players that we had five children on the bench. Really impressive. Big Gabi, Saka, Havertz, Raya, White all played so well.

Third win in a row at the toilet bowl. Spurs haven't won three games at The Emirates this century lol.

  17. Kulusevski really the only one that did anything in the attack. Solanke was ok. Johnson was ok. Maddison and Son were disappointing. They’re suppose to be the leaders on the team, the best players. And they fail to deliver consistently.

Ange has a lot to answer for. Last time we came away to Spurs, we played exactly the same. We defended deep, sprung on the counter by using the spaces behind their wingbacks, and used set pieces.

Ange did literally nothing to change that. Did he assume all our injuries would make it that much easier? They still left space for Martinelli and Saka, and they are still awful at corners. Vicario might be the worst keeper on set pieces in the league, so protect him.

It's all good having principles, but ignoring those first ten games, they've actually been pretty awful under him.

  19. Agree overall on your points about Ange. But also think the big injury spell we had last year derailed the season. We faced what Arsenal dealt with today for a large portion of the season. But regardless, we haven’t been able to snap out of it. I’m still a big believer in Ange and in his system. Showing a little more adaptation would help. But the players have to be better either way.

Truly inexcusable performance. Disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe it.

All these chances we make don’t matter when none go in net. It’s getting so tiring to see. We haven’t beat any top 4 teams since Ange took over. I know it’s not all on him but it’s pretty damning. Feels like we don’t adapt and this system doesn’t change.

and this also is not good to see:

  21. I think the obvious but overlooked aspect is Kane leaving. In the first year without him, we barely had a striker with how often Richarilson was out. Now we sign Solanke and he missed 2 games already. Neither guy will come close to Kane anyways, but we’ve lost the best striker in the league and barely have evidence of replacing him. And the goals have become harder and harder to come by.

Other teams have worse strikers and make it work. I’m tired of the Kane leaving excuse to be honest. We get zero contributions from our wingers. Son has disappeared for insane stretches of time.

A quick mention for Nwaneri, and to a lesser extent Jesus.

When Nwaneri had to come on cause Saka was injured, Jesus took the position on the wing so that Nwaneri would have to do less defending, and let Ethan go up front where there is less pressure. Really good leadership that deserves a mention.

But also, Ethan coming into an away NLD fixture at 17 and playing well is so impressive. Great close control, used possession well, and didn't seem phased. I think he's ready.

  24. Fair about other teams having lesser strikers, but it’d be nice to have an actual striker consistently available.

  25. Wish we’d give our teenage phenom more opportunities like that. Because he also seems ready. I think Moore and Nwaneri both have potential to be special players.
