$100m to turn him into a take it wide and drop it to the fullback merchant was a crime against football

Yeah, I've seen people speculating on this, but I think we'd have already seen it tbh. I think he did it at the end of one game last season perhaps, but that's it.

I wouldn't be massively against it, as long as it isn't a midfield of Jorginho, Partey, and Zinny. Three players with the pace of snails and poor engines, we'd be absolutely over run. We definitely need a runner in there.

Holy shit, just found out my hometown club signed Nile Ranger. That's certainly a choice...

A major Ake injury puts a lot of pressure on John Stones to stay healthy. Another injury or two and Bernardo Silva is filling in at left back again.

What was Poch’s main formation? 4-3-3?

4-2-3-1 at Spurs that went into 3-4-2-1 in possession. I think he used 4-3-3 more after that though.

Arsenal fans absolutely melting cause of a few injuries is so funny, given their reaction you would find it hard to believe they’ve been incredibly lucky and in quite a decent spot regarding squad health the last few years.

I understand why you might say this, but I think it really depends on perspective.

Some of our key players like Saka, White, and Odegaard have been mostly injury free. But we also arguably lost a title because Saliba and Tomiyasi got injured in the same game two years ago, causing us to have to play fifth choice Holding against City and the run in.

We had Timber do his ACL 40 minutes into his debut last year. Jesus missed most of the 22/23 run in and lots of last season, while Partey made about 4 appearances before April last season. Tomiyasi and Zinchenko also suddenly can’t stay fit. Now Merino fractures his shoulder in the very first training session.

We’ve had it nowhere near as bad as United or Newcastle, but to say we’ve been lucky is to stretch the truth. I think the fans are just gutted that we have no/only one first choice midfielders for the Spurs/Atalanta/City away week.

But it is what it is, these things happen. As always, fans are going over the top lol.

The Pulisic interview after the match was… not a good look for the players or the previous coaching staff.

Did it all go wrong when USSF decided to keep Berhalter? (Within the squad not publicly)

Yeah I guess after going through the injuries United have gone through it’s very much just a take it on the chin/get the fuck on with reaction from me. Like it’s hard to care that your lot had to play Holding against Man City last year when Johnny Evans started 30 games for us last year.

I mean, I sort of agree. It's why I just made a joke about it and moved on. I find the two Arsenal subreddits quite annoying in how much they dwell on these things, but I imagine it's the same for every club?

I'm viewing it as an opportunity. We'll likely lose both league games now, but if we win against Spurs, it's just funny.

can’t wait to see all the injuries moving forward with the increased schedule!

Genuinely wonder if a player strike would happen within the decade.

Yeah I’m not going to lie I thought Ødegaard broke his leg in like 6 different places from the bit of coverage I saw. I audibly laughed when I saw it was just 3 weeks. Injuries do suck though so I get some of the gloom and disappointment about it though.

I think that's because it looked worse than it was, so the doom mongers all started acting like he'd be out for months. Also not helped by the Norway manager saying "it looks really bad."

Then it came out the next day that it's three weeks out and I suspect everyone realised it wasn't so dramatic lol.

Oh yeah, i’m just merely joking about how United’s injuries have completely skewed the way I look at them as a whole how a mini crisis just kind of feels like the norm to me now. Even when a mini injury crisis is right in front of me i’m refusing to acknowledge it lol.
