I know it’s for my team, but the bar for contact HAS to be higher than that. Just like the Kulusevski incident it’s not enough for me, but I get why they don’t want to overturn the on field decision. But I would have.

Oh yeah. Possibly the most dominant first half I’ve seen this year in any PL game:

 

The situations aren’t comparable because Havertz knows exactly what he’s doing and draws the contact. Gets rewarded. Kulusevski was making a genuine run and was clipped because the man defending him was being a little too careless.

And I agree it was light contact. But it was still contact that greatly influence an opportunity for one team. And it would’ve been a foul anywhere else on the field.

PL officiating needs an overhaul. All I’m asking for is consistency. Tired of being told why one thing is or isn’t a foul this week but the following weeks we see the opposite ruling. This isn’t just about the Kulu thing. It’s been happening all year across the league.
