Chelsea mostly with the tactical control too. Cucurella inside in possession gives Gallagher and Palmer freedom to create depth, Spurs midfield and forwards then drop back and narrow, which blunts the press and leaves their full backs 1v1 with Madueke and Mudryk.

Spurs so narrow in the buildup. If they figure that out they'll come back into it. Johnson has an ocean of space wide right.

Saw a stat that since GW10, Spurs are decidedly midtable, which is surprising. Maybe we shouldn't be shocked by this.

  3. Well, we did go a little over a month or so without a healthy CB lol but we haven’t been great since all those guys came back either.

  4. Bissouma stinks

If it wasn’t for Van De Ven Chelsea would have 1 or 2 more at this point

  6. We really give up the dumbest fucking goals lol

  7. At least these games have been painting a clear picture of what we need.

A striker that can consistently finish. We’re missing Kane so much. We had several good chances today and we couldn’t hit the target. A consistent issue.

A DM that can orchestra things in the build up and help with our defensive transitions. VDV has to bail us out so much after Bissouma or Hojbjerg give the ball away. Get both of those guys out of here in the summer.

Depth at both fullback positions. Porro and Udogie are fantastic. But they play a very demanding position in Ange’s system. Not only does that increase injury risk, but next year when we have more midweek games, they will need breaks. Emerson and Davies can’t play if we want to be serious. Ever.

Just seen that Aston Villa lost 4-2 to Olympiacos. Fiorentina - Olympiacos final would be very cool.

    The Conference League rules.

  12. Question…

Leverkusen winning Europa would give them the auto CL bid, but they obviously don’t need it as they dominated their domestic league. Typically, this would give the 5th place team in Bundesliga a CL bid, correct?

What happens now that they are seemingly already getting a 5th team based on this new rule we have this year?

If Dortmund go on to clinch the Champions League title and maintain their fifth-place position in the domestic league, the Bundesliga will boast an unprecedented six representatives in the Champions League in the next season. Eintracht Frankfurt will benefit in that case, as they are currently in sixth place.

That's a third of the Bundesliga.

The last 30+ years have been the ruination of football formats.

  17. It’s funny Harry went to Bayern and everyone said he went to win the farmers league and now they potentially put 6 teams in CL lol

I was trying to describe myself to someone

I've seen this come up a bit recently. Has the Bundesliga generally been referred to by Brits as a farmer's league? I thought that insult was mostly kept around to mock the French league with.

My mate does unironically refer to the Bundesliga as a farmers league, saying it's too easy, only one good team etc. But he also claims the Championship is the second strongest league in Europe, so probably not worth taking seriously haha.

  23. Yeah, I think people just say it because Bayern win every year. It’s clearly a strong league.

Just wait and see what people think of the Premier League once City have won 10 in a row lol

  25. Ange has been pretty consistent in this. Even when we were off to a hot start he kept reintegrating that we have a lot of work to do.

I’ll say the morale definitely seems a little down. But losing 3 in a row like that will bring morale down. I don’t think that equates to him “losing the team”. There isn’t any indication of that. Just some growing pains.

The guys that have been struggling have a few games to prove they can play in this system. If not, we look for a better fit. Seems like standard stuff.
