Havertz captaincy paid off tonight.

 

Leicester winning 5-0; puts them four ahead of Leeds with two games to go (five ahead of Ipswich who have played a game fewer). Most likely going up.

 

As a Leeds fan, the championship race is too stressfull.

As a neutral, the premier league title race is insane. Best ever? I thought Chelsea had the momentun to knock Arsenal back and instead they increase their GD by 5!

Giving those for accidental handballs and similar offences would actually be way fairer.

While not as goofy as this, the MLS still continues to make baffling decisions. At least in the South, soccer is on a huge rise in popularity yet they made 2 dumb decisions recently.

- Best of 3 playoff series.... Why oh why oh why??! When it's finally starting to break into the mainstream, they decide to introduce a playoff format that's not used anywhere else in the world in the sport. Maybe it's getting popular as people like the sport so why Americanize it?
- The deal with Apple TV now putting so much of the game behind a paywall...

 

It’s America. It’s our job to take something that is global, make it worse, proclaim it as American.

 

MLS/Apple are also intent on ruining what little tradition this country has when it comes to soccer.

I was reading recently that Apple are going to get the tv deal for the new Club World Cup. Hope that’s not a shitshow

 

Apple has by far the best/clearest picture of any other sports broadcasts I’ve seen. The games look amazing.

The downside is that it’ll be another paywall, I’m sure.

 

I like when the paywall has access to all games, I just wish they would promote/sell off to the networks or bigger cable channels for the BIG games.

 

OK, they wouldn't be proposing this if they weren't planning to juice it, so what's the catch?
