Can these two teams have a normal match, this match is too insane for a first leg

If that’s not a pen, it’s a booking for Saka

Nah that is never ever a penalty. Free kick out. I cannot believe Saka didn’t get booked for that. Insane.

For anyone who watched, how many would have Mbappe got tonight? I've heard Vini was quite wasteful.

Ngl, there was an hour there where I thought I might have to get into cricket instead.

Played well until the first goal, then fell apart for a while. We definitely look totally inexperienced at this level. But we managed to get back into it and that’s not easy.

I never expected us to go through, but I’m glad we are being competitive and still have a chance in the second leg.

I think Arsenal will win the return leg. Just shape up a bit off the ball when attacking.

  10. Didn’t get to watch but saw the replay that this quote is referring to and…..wow lol

  11. If the ref is going to let that go, I guess fine. But that explanation is awful haha

I didn't even notice it during the match, but Prime milked this situation after the game and showed it multiple times and asked everyone they interviewed.
Honestly, I generally don't want to get such a penalty and win the game like this. BUT, it is a crystal clear penalty. Why on earth does he use his hands there after the keeper executed the goal kick?

I watched the game with a friend today, who hasn't closely followed CL football for some years now. He was unaware that the away goals rule was scrapped some years ago. We then had a discussion about it and realized both games today are basically useless with these results. The ties will be solely decided by the return legs. It's like we are starting completely from scratch.
I always liked the away goals rule and today basically validated my opinion that it was a mistake to abandon it.

Couldn’t watch closely today and only saw minutes 60-65 or so. Was crushed to see Bayern blew it towards the end and finished with a tie.

Being unable to have any fans in the building, it would have been huge to leave with a win and return to Munich to close it out.

I didn’t even notice the Gabriel incident. I guess by the absolute letter of the law, it’s a penalties, but we also always say we want referees to use common sense, and he did. So that seems pretty fair to me, but I’m obviously incredibly biased.

I actually thought the referee was really good. He let the game flow, didn’t book players unnecessarily, and I think he got all the big calls correct.

After two bangers yesterday, we're probably in for two tepid 0-0 affairs today.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Sports Direct dubs Newcastle United kit deal unlawful

Some interesting details in that. On the serious side, learning that a retailer pays under £17 for a shirt is quite eye opening. On the funny side, referring to Sports Direct as the gorilla in the marketplace had me laughing away.

Dortmund's recent away form has been thrown out of the window so far. All Atleti.

Atleti have been so good, but wow Dortmund are really bad at the back. Back line is playing like they never met each other.

PSG’s back 5 look like 5 random players thrown together for their first game.

Mendes has been decent going forward but fucking hell they’re all over the shop

Evergreen post for Dortmund. When was the last time they had a decent defense, the mid 90's?
