All feelings aside, I love how that account is using one game against an Austrian team to claim Bale is “back to his best” lol.

He is literally one of the most expensive players of all time, who has scored two crucial goals in CL finals. Having a good game against Wolfsberger is not “his best”.

 

He’s been decent in Europa. Against competition way way down. I’d love for him to dazzle in high profile games, he’s my all time favorite player, but I just don’t see it happening

Kind of confused by the purpose of this chart. What do they mean by expected goals scored/conceded? Are they saying they've taken goals conceded/scored and then removed the outliers by ignoring any which are above expected? Did they do it for each game individually or all XG combined over the season?

 

Just been reading up on how Lambert has banished two of the players to the U23's for attitude problems.

It's a good job we're not fighting to get in the playoffs so can afford to drop players.

The real miracle here was Bradford. How they managed to get the final, including dumping out premier league Aston Villa over two legs in the semi finals. They’ve been yoyoing between league one and two ever since and never came close to the championship. What an achievement by them even if they were brought down to their level in the final.

 

Nakhi Wells was unbelievable in that run. I thought he had everything in him to make the step up to a Premier League team.

 

Was trying to remember who the star man in that side was. Cracking player Wells. He seemed to be getting his career back on track at QPR last season but was recalled from them and seemed to stall again at Bristol City. Would have loved to have seen him at Hillsborough a few years back.

 

Seeing rumours that Grealish is out for 3 months with some sort of stress fracture. This goes without saying but that's a huge blow for Villa. Fortunately for them, they are not in the same position they were in last season with the threat of relegation looming.

 

Charlotte FC are finally announcing prices for season tickets. I already have my deposit in but didn't have any info about pricing for each section. Looks like I'll only be paying $35 per game for some pretty decent seats.
