    hmmm

How is Kepa still starting games for Chelsea?

I know it's the price tag but there's no footballing reason for it. One of the most shocking signings ever.

Nice easy way for him to get some confidence. We won't be bothering him.

We're getting the mouth breathing commentator on Sky. I thought it was me during my workout. I was wrong.

  4. One thing that randomly came into my head today, Jose is getting a decent amount of criticism for the Bale and Dele situations. I think that is a little unfair. Both of those players were on a downward trajectory before they were paired with Jose. Initially, Dele had a little spark under Jose but that is seemingly more flukey than anything at this point. Dele was really struggling prior to that month run and has been even worse since. With Bale, well we know that story lol

I'm still not happy with how things are now but I don't think it's because Jose is causing chaos in the dressing room or anything like that. We've lost a lot recently, that will make any locker room on edge. But there were reports today implying that Kane is still happy with Jose and he thinks good things are to come. Not getting my hopes up though.

PSG will either FEAST on this backline (Dest, 20 minutes back from injury; Pique, hasn't played a minute in three months; Lenglet, Alba) or Pique will have the game of his life. There is no other option. Araujo getting injured before this was brutal.

  7. I'm torn. Barca has forever been my "other team" and I've always disliked PSG, but now they have Poch.

Torn by the Liverpool v Leipzig Match. I want Tyler Adams to get all the CL exposure possible but I just wish Leipzig weren't his avenue for that.

How was that not overturned? Am I nuts?

  15. I think his foot barely touched the defender’s knee before hitting his own leg. It’s a weak call. But it’s also consistent with the last 2 Spurs games. Attacker creates contact, goes down, gets the call.

Ah, first time seeing Ander Herrera in a while. Such a shame he left United. Always quite liked him.

Could be a cricket score this.

Also, I just saw this -

A ref squared up to a player on a Championship game tonight. First time I've ever seen that I think

The injuries to Araujo and Dest last month predicated this nicely. You can't play 10 of 11 games away from home and not have casualties. But there's also zero reason whatsoever for the team to be playing this poorly. But if anyone didn't see old man Pique on his first night back in three months getting roasted by Mbappe, I've got some oceanfront property in Nebraska for ya.

All of the journos I follow on Twitter (notedly, none actually Barcelona fans) for La Liga seem to think that Gueye should've been sent off in the first half and that Barca should've had a penalty just before Mbappe got his second. Those seem like pretty big momentum shifts to miss. Anyone here actually watching see what they're referencing? Following footy on Twitter is pretty much the only way I see stuff not on weekends anymore.

He played against us in the groups. He was a prick in both games.

I missed the whole first half, but Gueye was subbed at half time and both the commentators made comments about how he'd got away with it as his fouls had been adding up and how it was sensible to avoid the red card. So that's probably right at least.

But yeah, I agree 100% about Pique (and the rest of the team really). Look so old and slow. Doesn't help that they effectively play with 10 men on defence since Messi does nothing but walk.

Y'know, I'd weirdly forgotten that. He was always a prick with us, but he was our prick haha.

If I'm not mistaken, unless there's a miracle (cough) in Paris, this will end Barca's making the quarters streak. I think it's at 17 or 18 seasons now.

On the plus side, he just played himself out of Madrid's budget. On the downside... Neymar, Messi, Mbappe is probably happening next year.

Be twice the ocean. Be twice the land.

If they don't win the CL with that front three it will be hilarious.

As much as I will always love Messi (and honestly who doesn't love to watch Mbappe?), I would root against PSG if they made the final with that front three*
