Not been a great week for Ajax, jeez

From what I was reading on Reddit, it seems he's taken (either on purpose or inadvertently, depending on which side you believe) a substance that can mask the use of PEDs. So highly suspicious but no proof of genuine cheating. But I guess they've gotta come down hard and make an example.

The wording of that Ajax statement is very odd. Firstly claiming that he felt unwell, so took some pills his wife had previously been prescribed, but then it goes on to say that they were taken in confusion? If you're a professional sports person, you really shouldn't just be taking any old shit without knowing what it is...

 

As a fan, the first one is the one that pisses me off the most despite it arguably being the least important- 3 guesses who his agent is! The list of Ajax youth that have been successful after leaving before properly reaching the first XI is much smaller than those who have stayed and established themselves.

Sven Botman is literally the only one of the past 5 years who is doing well, Mitchell Bakker gets the odd game for PSG and that's it. Agents advise these kids terribly.

I've also got the Pique 3rd kit from 18/19. The salmon one with the city squares silhouetted on them. I got it in Barcelona--if you got that kit, you got free personalization that day. My options were Pique, Suarez, and Messi, haha.

 

3 assists and a goal for Diallo in the u23s. He’s too good for that level.

Arsenal brought on Odegaard and were starting to take control, Arteta decided to sabotage that by bringing on Willian.

Sorry, I should have clarified (quite grumpy about the result!) I actually agree it shouldn't have been a yellow at all - but I was more thinking in regards to if he's issuing a yellow at all why isn't he issuing a straight red with Saka being the last man - although tbh I haven't seen the angle where there's another defender back.

I think this season might just be breaking me.

 

That was a stupidly stressful game. Nothing like making a win as difficult as possible. Slightly worried our squad will now have so many injuries that we're going to struggle badly now. No idea where these sudden attempts at a performance have come from.

Hendrick was a clown again today. Been pretty unimpressed with him all season.

To be honest, I knew Newcastle were dire, but until I had to watch them play a couple of times inside a month I thought the fans were just moaning.

Then I saw them play and suddenly understood why the fans were so annoyed despite the okay points total.

Reminds me of the problem teams like West Brom and Stoke had. Pulis kept them in the PL but the football was deadly dull. When they got rid of him they got relegated but I wonder how many of the fans really care now they actually get to watch their team try?

 

Soucek has had an excellent season so far then he goes and does that.
