So, Austin FC's owner, Anthony Precourt used to own Columbus Crew, and he tried to relocate the Crew out of Columbus and down to Austin FC instead of paying MLS' expansion fee, which I think is like $100 million, and it infuriated all of Columbus' fans and most MLS fans. There was also some clause in Precourt's contract saying something like he would only relocate to Austin and nowhere else.

 

I wonder how much time is lost during a game when linesmen don't flag for offsides for god knows how long.

 

Forgive my ignorance but I thought this was normal in American sports?

 

It is and funny enough, Ohio has a law that prevents professional sports teams that use public facilities or financial assistance from relocating without 6 month notice, which Precourt didn't give, because of the Cleveland Browns moving to Baltimore.
