Should've been 8 or 9-2. Astounding our defensive line didn't drop off even as it was getting embarrassing. Joke of a performance.

 

Opening day against Everton was dreadful. But still only a 1-0 defeat to a team that’s since proven to be legitimately good.

Since then we’ve defeated Southampton 5-2, drew to Newcastle (but absolutely dominated the game and we’re boned), and then defeated United 6-1.

And during the midweeks made long travels for knockout EL matches, and defeated Chelsea in the league cup.

I can’t say anything bad about the team now. Very impressive start to the season. Now that the clusterfuck portion of the schedule out of the way I hope we keep progressing.

Our main issue coming into the summer was central midfield, with a lack of quality or quantity. Somehow we have ended up even worse. Guendouzi to Hertha on loan (no fee), Torreira to Atletico on loan. How are we WORSE?

We've spend all summer tailing two players and failed miserably to get either, and now have a day to panic buy someone shit for numbers.

Our third choice midfielder is Elnenny....
