Dominating Spurs and PSG while our attack is playing at about 70% and our best player looks 'off'... mightily impressive.

 

So happy we now have the greatest football tournament in the world to follow now.

 

The last two Spurs games were depressing as fuck, I'm not even sure I want to watch them lose to Brighton this weekend. This season will be a fucking nightmare, Levy dug our grave by not buying anyone.

I'm sorry if I sound too negative for you, but between the issues with the Stadium, Hugo's DUI, Kane's current form, Pochettino's post-match conference last night and the weird "technical reasons" for leaving Trip and Toby in London... I'm not optimistic. I'm also already sick of seeing Vorm in goal this season.

 

I mean, I tried telling people on here that not buying anyone was a MASSIVE mistake. You can't get by with 14-15 good players and a bunch of okay ones and expect to compete on three or four fronts. Trust me, I'm an Arsenal fan, I would know, we did the same and finished second in what should have been our season to win the title.

This season was make or break for their current project. A lot of their players need a rest, especially Kane but they didn't have anyone half decent to be his backup, with Son away for the start of the season and a terrible third choice.

The players want to win trophies and the club clearly doesn't, that's bound to unsettle them, and when you combine it with this blatant lack of planning I can't blame the club for having a bad atmosphere at the moment.

You have them almost uncertainly going to finish no higher than after this start and facing an uphill battle to get out of their CL group already. They now have to win an FA Cup, but I guess that doesn't mean much, according to what Spurs fans have told me over the last 4 years...

 

For the record I still think Spurs are a very good team, but I think this is kind of proof they need a reshuffle. Poch will go Real or PSG next year imo, and some of the players (probably Erikson, Vertonghen, Toby, Lloris) will also depart, and they will start with a new project.

Why rumours of Pochettino and Spurs' demise have been greatly exaggerated

A lot of overreactions which isn’t surprising.

 

I wonder how Mahrez feels not even making midweek squadrons. In before he's happy with his money.

 

I still don't understand why they bought him. I get ~why he went. Thinks he could break into the team, pick up some medals, earn a mint.

But for actually playing football, why on both sides?
