Chelsea have 8 players in quarantine - Abraham, Mount, Tomori, Barkley, Jorginho, Pulisic, Emerson and Batshuayi! There have been 14 positive tests recorded, affecting 12 PL clubs. Will probably be like this all season

Doherty and Hojbjerg seem like two solid signings. They aren't flashy names or world class players, but our two biggest needs were a DM and a new RB. Both have plenty of premiere league experience and came pretty cheap. They should plug the holes we had last year and make everyone else better.

I think we’ll be signing a ST and then maybe another CM or RB before deadline day. CB could happen too but I think the others are more likely.

To be honest, we've already missed our window of opportunity. We were in a position of strength, and now we've wasted so much time that every single club in the league pretty much has taken a step forwards apart from us (I read yesterday 18/20 clubs had made signings this window).

Now, even if we sign people, they'll have to potentially quarantine, they'll have missed preseason, all that sorta stuff. Very hard to hit the ground running when everyone else is 3 weeks further ahead in their preparation.

The absolute worst thing would be if we did end up signing Sancho and he was our only signing. I mean he's a great player and I would love for us to sign him, but fuck we need depth. I would say we had a better first team than Chelsea last season, but they had better depth than us. Same with a lot of top 8 teams. You can see that in the complete and utter lack of rotation or subs since the restart. We need a few players, but it doesn't look like we will get them in.

Not yet, I don't think. But yeah it seems like they're closer to signing someone than us.
