After this year, in terms of English goalkeepers, I now rate both him and Pope above Pickford.

 

I can’t say I’ve seen much. But I’ve heard good things and the few games of Sheffield United I’ve seen he’s been good and commanding.

jury is still out on if he can handle the pressure or go the way of Ben Foster. I’m excited.

we have another young keeper coming through now as well, Matej Kovar who looks excellent and will be going on loan this season. Looking at how well Gollini is doing gives me hope that our keepers are in good hands though.

 

Yeah I was going to mention I hope he doesn’t go the way of Foster. He’s been good obviously but I’ve still seen a couple of softish goals go in. A huge mistake for England U21s last year too that was de Gea esque. I’d definitely give him a go as the full England keeper though as I’ve never rated Pickford.

 

Matt Doherty to Spurs completed. Hope he plays there and does well. Will be great for the Irish team.

I support Rangers, and I like all Scottish teams to do well in Europe. However, seeing the reaction from Celtic fans, i would not be a happy chappy as a Celtic supporter. They didnt play a recognised striker?! Despite having two on the bench: one a £3million “project” player who scored 4 pre-season, and one a £4.5m player not fit or something. Then didnt make a sub until 75 mins-ish. Absolutely bonkers from the manager.
