Started a game of FM as United. Penalty in the first minute of the first game of the season. I love realism.

 

I started a new game as a lower league team recently, playing as my hometown in the Vanarama League North. Actually found it interesting as I am relying on free agents and young loan players in the first season.

Giving myself five years to reach League two, which is doable.

 

Love, love, love FM.

The lower leagues always seem a little easy if you're able to nab a pacy premiership/championship forward on loan, and the match engine can be a little wonky, but it's still the best football game by a country mile.

(Apart from Super Mario Strikers, obviously)

 

Most recently had an Arsenal game going, built myself a decent team before I lost interest.


I need to stop buying Haaland at every chance I get.

 

I’ve been actively trying not to buy Sandro Tonali. I had a game managing Sheffield United, Spurs, Leipzig, and Dortmund and signed Tonali for all of them.

 

United fans seem to have gotten to the “sign Bale” part of the transfer window...

 

He's such a great buy, I remember before the update he had a relegation release clause of 8.5m, what a bargain. I think that's been adjusted now unfortunately.

And some shit paper today said Madrid would sell him for 15m haha I don’t believe any of that until it happens. Which it won’t.

 

He’s never cost me more than 20m at the start of the game either. Won player of the year every season for me. Easily the best defensive midfield purchase in the game.

 

Skriniar for Ndombele swap won’t go away which makes me think it could happen. Both players are in very similar situations. The club doesn’t want to sell, the players don’t necessarily want to leave, but both managers want the swap.

 

Seems Lingard and Perreira are out the door. Not really much of a shock but that leaves us very light in midfield.
