Josip Ilicic has, as many have probably noticed, "disappeared". Today tells @Gazzetta_it that the pandemic took a heavy toll on the fragile, sensitive person. He became scared, then depressed. It is also said that his wife left him for another man. He is now in Slovenia and does not play anymore.

 

Arsenal defence and midfield has been shocking so far. Chelsea are flying through them.

Pepe is one of the weirdest players in the league. He looks useless on the ball 50% of the time but sometimes he pulls out some sublime touches.

 

Kovacic on his day is up there with the best of them, isn't he? I like his forward thinking.

Chelsea were all over Arsenal for 10 minutes. But Arsenal the much better team since then.

 

Arsenal need to keep playing more direct. Chelsea defence has deteriorated under Lampard.

 

Their defence is appalling. Not getting much help from Mount/Jorginho/Kovacic either. Will be interesting to see what they’re like next season of their don’t make some defensive signings. Even the defender they’re most linked to, Chilwell, isn’t a great defender.

 

Seriously though, it’s amazing how many of my FM/FIFA signings Chelsea end up buying. Azpilicueta was my lad on like FIFA 2010. Oscar, Schurrle, Hazard, Mata, Remy, Cuadrado, Zouma, Pulisic, and now Werner/Havertz. All wonderkids that I became attached to on FIFA/FM before signing for Chelsea

 

Oooof looked a bad hamstring tear for Pulisic there.

 

Chelsea have been on top this half but fuck their defence is baaaad. Good goal Auba.

 

Zouma was terrible for that goal but credit where it's due for the dink finish.
