God I always hated St Toteringham's Day as an idea.

  3. It's weird...Arsenal are the historically superior club (at least in my lifetime), but they still seem like the more petty side. I know the fans of each side can become unbearable but with Arsenal, I feel like I see the official team account tweeting things about Spurs as well as players. I don't recall seeing much of that from Spurs.

I think the banter is fine and harmless. I just always found it odd that Arsenal is more overtly petty when they were the better side for so long.

Oh absolutely we are the bigger and more successful club, which always made me find it unbearable cringey how our fanbase acted like finishing above you was an achievement. It would be sort of like Liverpool celebrating finishing above Everton every year. Weird.

  5. And now we get to see Spurs and Arsenal battle for Countinho. Dreading that regardless of which he choses.

(I think Leicester have also been linked but I get the feeling it's Arsenal or Spurs).

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Did Coutinho play under Rodgers at Liverpool or did they not overlap? Leicester could be an interesting one. They've had a dud end to the season, but it's still be a great season for them in a lot of ways.

As for the Spurs/Arsenal thing, I really don't get the weirdness of local rivalries at times. I never understand why Newcastle fans want Sunderland to be as far down the league system as possible. The only game of meaning Newcastle ever have is playing Sunderland now. Without them around to have a derby with, most seasons are just a meaningless trudge to mediocrity or worse.

Surely the better thing is for them to be 17th every year. :crylaugh:

A long, but good read here

I still don't know the answer to "is Levy good at his job" and I probably never will.

Honestly I have zero interest in Spurs getting relegated or whatever. Ideally I'd like them to just be like 6th or 7th every year, which ironically they were this year, I just didn't want us to be even worse!

Zaha and Grealish are names I have seen us linked to, and they would be great for us, but honestly, I don't see how we get them?

Pay Pepe money for Zaha please. We get 25% of his next transfer fee!

  13. What's the price for Zaha these days?

  14. Spurs finally posted their Jan video. They asked him his favorite game with the club and he weirdly said the battle at the bridge. I’m still embarrassed from that game. We were such shitheads.

But I suppose it was wildly entertaining.

    40m apparently.

  16. That’s not a bad price for him I suppose. I think it’d be cool if Leicester made some moves to stay near the top. Zaha would be a nice get for them.

We were asking for more than that last year. But he's worth more than that to us. Not so much this season, but he has almost singled handedly kept us up since we were promoted. I doubt we could get a player of his influence with £40m. Especially one that would want to come to fucking Croydon.

  19. These tweets are 5 mins apart lol

The Times tweet is probably the same shite as Maguire/AWB last year. Like all the stories about us wanting Maguire for 60, Leicester wanting 100 etc etc until we “met in the middle”

The photos are funny as fuck though :crylaugh:

  21. There’s too much smoke for it not to happen. Should a very fun team next season.

    @fangclubb Prestigious

There’s always a lot of smoke around us and transfers. I think it will happen but I don’t think it’s a given.

A large portion of our fan base thinks it’s done already and we were just waiting till the end of the season come what may. I think this will rumble on. If we do sign him, it’ll be in October for exactly what Dortmund are asking for today.

Apparently Pereira did an interview with some South American youtube channel and admitted that he knows United are interested in Sancho because they’re openly talking about him at Carrington every day.

“Nos vemos en Manchester” has still scarred me. No matter how confident we think we are, we will find a way to mess up.

The one positive seems to be the lack of rumours/interest from other teams.
