Wigan 7-0 Hull and it's only half time. Would love to see Wigan beat the odds with their points deduction.

 

Absolute disgrace what the overs of Hull have done to them. I went to Uni in the City, they were in the Premier League then. Such a crazy story - built them from nothing, and now are asset stripping the club and making them an embarrassment. Banned the local paper from the stadium too.

 

Atalanta are the most fun football team in the world.

Today they won 6-2 to take their goal tally to 93. They have five games left to reach 100, and if they do so they will be the first Serie A team to reach triple figures since 1951. All this whilst not spending more than they earned in the transfer market, actually quite a lot less.

I either want them or Atletico to win the Champions League.

 

Also I was in a pub today and they had Chicago vs Seattle on and I actually enjoyed it. The defence of both teams was a bit crap but that kind of made it more fun. Plus as an Arsenal I'm used to it.

I've been thinking about the lower leagues in England and how they're kind of in a lose lose situation. When will it be safe for them to play again and start the new season? The longer it takes, the more money they'll lose. But then, even if they restart alongside the PL & the Championship, it's not financially viable for them without crowds as they have a very limited coverage on TV.

Awful situation really.

We kind of need the money from the PL to be passed down to them but I can't imagine for a second that anything like that will be happening on a significant scale.

Yeah US commentators are really bad. It's a mix of getting basics wrong, and imitating other styles of commentary such as the latin american "golllllllllllllllllllllllll". It makes me completely mute streams quite often if I get lumped with an American on coms.

Apparently it started as a way to give the commentators time to work out the scorer and who got the assist, etc. I've never liked it but especially in English commentary.
