I struggle to see how that will happen honestly, you can't afford to pay off Mourinho I would imagine and a lot of these players probably won't get moves for the prices you would ask for in this climate, or you sell them cheap.

I’m so tired of seeing Lamela and Sissoko dribble into nothing. So many possessions just die with the ball at their feet. We had a handful of counters today where Lamela dribbled way too long and lost the ball.

So dreadful.

The good players we actually have are being held back by starting guys like them and Aurier so much.

 

Oh I know. This iteration of the team is toast. We're not going to be bringing many new faces in, Mou is Mou, and it's all just bad.

Yes, we looked bad under Poch near the end there. But I still don't think it's Poch's fault entirely. He had pleaded so many times that we needed to move players out/in, to pretty much no avail. I dream of a world where Poch was given the support he deserved.

 

I don’t think it was all Poch’s fault either. But Jose inherited the same issues. So as much as I prefer Poch I can’t put majority of the blame on Jose.

 

I think a huge problem is the lack of a true #10. We have no one to connect the play in counters or in open play in general. We pass the ball around the outside and send in a cross. And I know people will point to it being Jose tactics, but we do try to play it through the middle. It just always ends poorly.

Lo Celso is more of a box to box mid and his better performances have come when he takes on that role. Today we moved him up and he struggled.
