Love stuff like that, see quite a few bands doing it these days. Yard Act sponsored an Under 9s team the other day too

Quotes coming out today from ten Hag about how he doesn’t have the squad to play how he did at Ajax and he has to adapt and get the squad playing a more direct brand of football.

That puts me firmly in the Erik Out crowd honestly, the man was hired purely on the back of his well defined system and patterns of play and for his coaching and developmental abilities. Regardless of the injuries United have faced this year, there’s just no excuse for how disjointed and unorganized and just generally sloppy the team has looked.

You just have to look at Ange at Spurs, Emery with Villa, Howe with Newcastle, RdZ at Brighton…

I understand coming up a bit short of challenging for true top honors if the squad quality isn’t quite there, but what I won’t except is a team out there who more often than not looks like a team that have never practiced let alone played together. It’s genuine “what the fuck do they do all week” stuff.

The fact that some people called his starting line up yesterday a “resignation” really made me chuckle

Glad it's taken ETH a year to realize he has to adapt to the squad he has. The reports were right we needed Eric Eleven maybe even Twelve Hag.

Ten Hag really has torpedoed his own reputation quite impressively. It does have to be said that the behind the scenes set up at Man U is clearly not working, but picking a public fight with Sancho while largely glossing over the Antony situation was seriously unwise.

I'm really curious how much they paid off Australia to not bid.

Considering Australia already has all the necessary infrastructure build and ready to go

I would assume so. They've clearly learned absolutely nothing from going to Qatar.

Saudi has all the same issues as Qatar, but worse and logistically, I don't know how it will work at all. I don't imagine it's a particularly easy country to travel around either. At least Qatar was tiny...

SA is actually building up their infrastructure very rapidly, especially their high-speed train network, both around in-country tracks, and connections to neighboring countries. Plus, their airline industry is rapidly growing as well; they've just established their second national airline, Riyadh Air, so when it comes to flights and train travel, I think they've have what they need easily by 2034

They just hosted the women's world cup, they felt it would be unfair to try and host the mens so soon.

Fair enough. I forget other countries can actually build infrastructure in a decade span.

And SA is pretty unique in that they have an unlimited and unrestricted budget, in order to make all these new things actually happen, on time

Glad to have been proved right regarding my suspicion that Ten Hag is actually not The Guy.

I hope, with all sincerity, that United still don’t realise this.
