Done. Was able to do it from the US with no problems. £5 was $6.10 after conversion fees, it looks like.

For any Brits, it goes without saying to choose to Gift Aid it if you're eligible just for the extra money to the charity!

Just donated. Great cause mate , the treatment of the poorest in the UK by the government over the last 12 years has been criminal, and it's just getting worse whilst the tories continue to line theirs and their friend's pockets. This winter has been rough and we're only truly a month in so any help for the vulnerable is a really positive thing to do.

Couldn't agree more. Nothing highlights this more than the Government spending time attacking nurses - people whose job it is to literally save lives - for having the gall to want a wage that is enough to live on, rather than engaging in any meaningful talks. Everything is just a political game to them, living month by month with the sole aim of continuing to cling to power.

I live in quite a deprived area of the North East (though am lucky to not be in this situation myself), and seeing some of the shit that people are going through is really upsetting.
