Rooney has been absolutely dynamite for about a year in interviews. His handling of the Ronaldo thing was so good, and made him seem like a really funny, down to earth guy.

 

Supposedly Chelsea are looking at Yunus Musah as a Kante replacement. Liverpool have shown interest, too—guess that would be for Hendo?

 

Berhalter did a really good job over the last few years (alongside a few very valid criticisms), but I also think his ceiling is below the talent ceiling of this current squad.


Also saw the USMNT is playing the next Copa America most likely since we won’t be dealing with qualifying for 2026.

 

That's kinda how I feel about Berhalter. But the criticism he gets is kind of insane to me considering we won Gold Cup, Nations League, and made it to round of 16 with the youngest squad in the World Cup. We can argue about Pepi being a better squad selection but I doubt we would've beaten Netherlands either way.

I think we can do better but I think it's just as likely that we do worse if we go for a new manager.
