    hmmm

I'm with Carragher on this. Conte's one of the best league managers in the world. With a few smart signings in the next couple of windows, Spurs will be an excellent team. If Spurs fans don't have the patience for it then more fool them.

  2. he’s right. it’s just hard cus they’re so often very rough to watch, by design or not. and it’s absolutely some “arsenal top of the table”-induced psychosis

  3. I remember everyone saying you need great wingbacks for his system. We certainly do not have that. Hopefully we address that in the next couple windows.

    Anyone else watching Betis-Sevilla?

VAR has turned three yellows into reds, there's an own goal, there were 6+ minutes of first half stoppage time... and there's still 37 minutes left!

    Sevilla (10 players) 0 - Betis (9 players) 1

Another red card to an assistant coach!

A Sevilla player got a yellow for being fouled, but the fouling Betis player potentially injured himself. This game has everything.

The Sevilla player wrongly yellowed above just scored an absolute rocket of a goal.

    1-1 with 9’ left.

I had a shockingly good week. Here’s hoping the two transfers I just made don’t backfire.

This is one of the best derbies in Europe. Such a great atmosphere and the games are always crazy. This was no different,

Sevilla out of the relegation zone now too.

It’s a game I’d love to attend. Loved Seville when I visited. Betis also play some lovely stuff right now.

I wonder if it's related to Brexit/the Pound crashing.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

Surely that would have the opposite effect though? Currently other Americans are circling the Prem because the pound is weaker against the dollar than it has been in decades. Selling up specifically based on the pound's value would surely represent a loss right now unless someone is offering massive money.

Admittedly, that may well be possible. Look what Chelsea went for this summer. Fenway paid £300m for Liverpool in 2010, so even with the weaker pound, a sale now would surely be for a huge amount. I would guess that's more about the Prem teams being valued so much higher now than 10 years ago, not Brexit or the pound slumping specifically.

It could also be that Fenway are looking at how the squad is performing and how other teams are going right now and may be thinking this is the high tide point for them, because they're going to need to dig deep in their pockets to refresh the squad and keep up with the league.

Also, is Anfield still getting a lot of work done on it? I know they did that big stand renovation/expansion, but what's the state of the rest of the ground?
