Like, I get that he had to go, but that’s a weird game to sack him after. They actually did get screwed over a tad with a soft red and penalty.

 

Even Gerrard in his post match interview put very little weight on those decisions because their performance was so poor. They could easily have been two or three down at halftime. That and the fact the fans completely turned on him probably did for him.

 

When do the leagues stop for the World Cup?

Yeah I guess that makes sense. Just seems there have been more fitting games to sack him after than that one.

When you see how damn good this kid is and then see a picture like this where it’s clear he’s basically an infant surely makes you feel old

 

I told myself I wouldn't buy FM 23, but I also want to see just how broken Haaland is.

 

I'm holding off on FM23 - It doesn't seem like they've changed much at all outside some small tweaks which is getting a bit frustrating when that seems to be the case year on year and there needs to be an overhaul of so much, (Set pieces, press conferences, international management, training in general etc.)

Probably will end up with FM23 at some point. I didn't buy FM22, still running FM21 so I will probably upgrade due to that.

 

yeah the regens still look awful. this is probably the greatest mod I've ever installed on fm though NewGAN Facepack

 

Yeah I'm on FM 20 or 21 still. I'm thinking of buying the new FM game though. I typically only try to buy sports games every 2-3 years (and by sports games I mean FM and Out of the Park Baseball because those are the only video games I have time for these days) to avoid being let down by a re-skin and the most basic features touted as being "new".

yeah, that's broken. I need to feel the pain personally though. in my 22 game City bought him in 2023. He's been knocking in about 20/25 a season, so he's good but their team as a whole fell off when they hired Klopp (Guardiola joined Liverpool at the same time lol). this Haaland seems a totally different beast

 

Youssoufa Moukoko has almost broken my FM21 save. Guy had 42 goals one season and 30 goals and 11 assists the next for Chelsea. Currently is on 9 goals in 10 appearances so far in the current season I am in. Though I guess its not that broken because Chelsea have not won the Prem in either of those two seasons.

Oh cool. One Knox is getting bumped to USL1 and getting invited to the next US Open Cup.

 

Forgot to post this and tag you when I saw it yesterday. Might as well call USL1, the SEC at this point.

 

Also with the above point about USL1 being the SEC, it kind makes me laugh that for a long time the talking point was that soccer would not work in the South. But really the closest sport fan culture wise to soccer in America is college football so it kind of makes sense its being well supported down there.

 

Yeah. I know that Charlotte and Atlanta don’t have SEC teams, but the way people latched onto those teams should’ve been the clue about the market.

 

Forever hoping that men’s soccer is added as an SEC sport soon. The checkerboard orange women’s jersey goes hard.

 

Hoping you guys end up having success in USL1 and make the move up to the Championship, get some DCFC vs. One Knox matchup.
