Foyth's tackle was a shocker. He knew instantly.

I've only seen the Son red once, did he kick out?

It's good to see my team now win 8-in-a-row! Onto the treble treble!

shame the rest of the top 4 hopefuls are so shit. this late season slide to miss top 4 would be a classic spurs narrative

Referees have completely lost their mind this season when it comes to hand penalties.

Edit: So apparently this is a handball but this is not...

Barcelona resting almost every starter while Liverpool plays a full strength Xi kinda sums up how both teams feel about Tuesday

  7. Well, Liverpool are in a title race. They wouldn’t rest players for the midweek game because of that.

Fully aware Newcastle will roll over and let Liverpool win, but fuck me it would be hilarious if Benitez was the one who decided the title race and Suarez was the one who knocked em out of the CL.

Why wasn't Alexander Arnold not sent off for that? Should 100% be off.

  11. Poch has been to be so pissed off at his team. I know there have been injuries but that doesn’t excuse how terrible the rest of the team has looked. I hope he sends off a few of the bigger names this summer to switch things up. As much as I love them, this core has peaked.

With that said, Wednesday is winnable. Hopefully they’re able to keep their strong CL form.

  12. When Sissoko is your most consistently good player, there’s a problem.

  13. Any Newcastle fans in here? How has Almiron looked this season?

  14. Damn, Salah with a rough injury

    Oh look, Liverpool players diving

Goal from a dive. Sums it all up.

Fabinho's dive gets funnier the more I see it. How can a linesman be that incompetent.

  18. Ayoze Perez seems like a pretty good player

  19. Imagine getting 97 points in a season and not winning the title. I won’t feel bad though haha

Hilarious the dive that led to Liverpool scoring the winner. Just shows why players go down. Had he stayed up, no one would be mentioning it and Liverpool would have lost the title. Small margins and all that, but why would any player not dive if they know they won't get punished for it, and that it could prove to be that massive?

I've not managed to watch many games, but what I've seen suggests he's a very positive player. He's a bit naff in front of goal so far and has a tendency to get a bit theatrical when someone touches him, but his biggest contribution seems to be that he's allowed the players around him to play better. Perez particularly has looked a totally different prospect since Almiron showed up.

His pace and creativity has been badly needed. He looks like someone who could go either way with a full pre-season. Rafa has improved quite a few players who are much worse than Almiron, so he could be a real find.

Unfortunately, with Rafa out of contract and Mike Ashley being a PoS, I doubt we'll see the best of him.

 ye did better than I thought. Shame about their third goal. Terrible decision.
