I had the Brighton Forest first half on in the background and every single time I looked at the TV it was a Forest goal kick.

I just noticed that when my local team won away last Saturday it was our first away win since December 2019. I knew it's been a while but holy shit...

Apparently our start is the second best start to a PL season ever.

Impressive considering we’ve already played Liverpool, United and Spurs, plus teams like Brentford and Palace who are really difficult upper mid table teams currently.

Teams such as Spurs and definitely Chelsea who are below us have had much more favourable fixtures and that gives me a little confidence going forward.

  12. I think Spurs have had a pretty tough schedule so far. We’ve been away to Chelsea, West Ham, Arsenal, Brighton, and today United. All of our harder opponents have been away. I’ve been looking forward to the back half of the schedule all season lol

To be fair I didn’t look at home or away which I should have. Potentially we both have easier second halves of the season.

    North London title race? Ha

Ya, can't look past City considering their talisman won't be going to the World Cup. I guess it depends on whether or not Haaland hits the ground running post-World Cup. I'd back him to do so but it's not set in stone.

Think its going to be close points wise on who wins the PL. Don't think its going to be like last year with such a large gap in points, though probably wont be a close as the one point from a few years back. Still not sure City will get it though, too many potential issues coming out of a World Cup in the middle of the season. Even with Haaland not participating, you have someone like KDB or even Silva go down because of that and its going to cause issues.

It has been a 12 and 8 point gap in points the past two years between first and second. I think this year it is less than that.

I think realistically it will be City, but that’s boring so I’m going to live in a fantasy world where they come third.

Looks like Salah's back on the right. Hoping that Klopp will find a way to liberate him from the flank so he can still be involved centrally. I want to see Trent playing high and wide again so Salah has the freedom to move in but I don't know if Klopp will do that. Henderson's ever decreasing ability as a no.8 affects this too but we have to find ways to give Salah the ball within the width of the box because his game isn't maximised by being marked up against the sideline with not enough support.

Nunez is a good player with significant potential if he can improve his decision making and combination play but he has to play central and that creates a problem for Klopp.

Everton have had a total of one shot in the last 90 minutes of football. It wasn't on target.

    Lampard understands them though.

Not sure why United vs. Spurs is on Peacock here in the States. Seems like a bigger matchup then Chelsea vs. Brentford.

I need Lloris to have a good game because I forgot to switch my keepers over for this gameweek. Had Sanchez on my bench. Been irritated about it since last night.
