Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

I wonder what happens with the Premier League if Elizabeth passes away.

Was just about to come mention this. The plans are very secretive, but I'd imagine all games cancelled/ postponed for at least a week, possibly longer. There's mention of 12 days of mourning but not sure who or what that would apply to.

Imagine sports would be classed the same as non-residential business, which would be required to shut. Television coverage would be changed also, so even if the games were played, they likely wouldn't be shown on TV.

Would throw a massive spanner in the works for an already super compressed season. Wonder would would happen for European matches too.

Postponing the league the same year as the winter world cup screwing the schedule would create for some insane amount of games every 3 days for quite awhile.

If it happens today, absolutely no chance the games today would be allowed to happen. Even for teams playing abroad, I think the club's would be made to cancel and return home (rightly or wrongly).

That would be a forfeit then, 3 points to Sociedad.

    Just play your non-English players.

I imagine so, yeah. What would be really interesting is if the announcement is made mid game. Do they just haul the players off? Or continue and pretend nothing has happened?

    hmmm

I was watching Bargain Hunt when it switched it over to the news.

Bargain Hunt interruption is when you know it's serious.

At what point did people become so obsessed with win percentage? Doesn't take into account any context at all.

Still laughing at Chelsea getting Auba because Tuchel wanted him only to fire him shortly after.

I think Potter is making the wrong decision taking the Chelsea job and I'm tired of seeing promising managers just jump ship. It's early days, and I think it was Watford who starting crazy one year and still got relegated, but I really thought he was doing something special at Brighton and would have them challenging for Europe easily. As an avid FM player, I can say I had the guts to turn down mega contracts for more prestigious clubs to finish what I started, and it was a joy that Potter will now never to get to feel.

In all seriousness, I get it and he may right the ship at Chelsea and turn them into a genuine title contender as the top of the league is quite packed right now, but I still wish more managers would stay with smaller clubs and try to shake the status quo.

Lastly though, I think Tuchel should have been given more time and gotten a talking to vs a firing but I'm just a random bystander who knows nothing of what had already transpired.

Wouldn’t be that bad at the moment. Just swap sancho and Rashford for Elanga and Ronaldo. Who knows maybe DvB would make an appearance. Lol
