Villa/West Ham poor quality game but it went more or less how West Ham would have wanted it to go; a nothing first half, change to a back four and look for spaces through Villa's midfield and on the counter in the second. Neither team were good but the onus was on Villa and they didn't do anything.

Gerrard keeps playing this very unbalanced system that simultaneously gives them little dynamic width but also leaves the midfield wide open at times. Part of it's coaching, part of it's the setup and part of it's the personnel picked. All on Gerrard. He shouldn't be managing at this level right now. Villa look so under coached given the quality they do have available.
