That's doing Sancho a huge disservice given he's basically been poor and injured in a shit show of a team before showing promise at the end of the season, and historic has performed at a wayyy higher level than Puli ever has.

very very big if. his biggest problem is getting injured just as he starts kicking on. we need an attacker that can come in and be consistent week in week out. pulisic ain't that.

plus i hate how he pronounces his name, fuck that

And yet, at the end of the day, besides Ronaldo and Varane, he’s got the best career in club/national team over the entire United squad (with the obvious exception of missing the 2018 WC…as a 18 year old). He’s an easy one to hate and has valid criticisms, but the statistics and trophies are there when he’s healthy. It makes far more sense to risk the upside than predict the downside. Without “lockdown Pulisic” Chelsea don’t even make the UCL the year they win it.

yeah but you have to take into account the injuries he's had since then. lockdown Martial and Rashford were deadly, great link up play, good finishing. look at them now. that hip injury really derailed Rashford's career and Pulisic may be heading down a similar path.

Pulisic has had something like 6 muscle injuries since joining Chelsea. at his peak, sure. he would be a good rotation addition with the ability to take a starting spot. but at this moment it's a risk. I mean I'll take any warm body at United but I wouldn't be particularly elated about taking him in on a loan. we already have three forwards who miss a lot of games, adding another into the mix doesn't fill me with confidence.

As a United fan with no USMNT bias I’d gladly take a half fit Pulisic over Rashford. I’d rather take a 35 y/o Aaron Lennon over Rashford right now.

I’m not convinced there’s much upside for Pulisic here either.

That would be a decent signing to be fair. Probably the best of the links in the last three days. No chance we sign him though.

that’s all fair, and if he comes and is a flop, I’ll eat crow. for all intents and purposes, Messi was a flop last year so it’s not a blind favoritism thing on my part. i just think being *THE* American (at the beginning of the new wave; I think Brendan and Tyler may end up being the best of the bunch) has always worked against him far more than it should when other similar players get a lot less criticism. it’s wild to think he’s still only 23.

yeah I thought he was 26. I think Chelsea was a bad move for him altogether, thought the same at the time but since Tuchel has come in that's even more evident.

Yeah, I don't think Chelsea plays a shape that suits his style (though, United does). he's been linked with Newcastle, Atletico, Juventus, and United in the last week... I'd rather see him go to Juventus and be with Weston from a USMNT standpoint, but I do think a Newcastle stint makes the most sense for playing time/confidence. hindsight is 20/20 and all that, but staying in Dortmund a year or two more was probably the right move (and we're probably gonna see Reyna reap the rewards of being able to see that).

you'd have to hope Reyna starts getting back in the squad for that haha

funnily enough, i have a dortmund career mode in fifa and I used him as a makeweight in a transfer for Sandro Tonali and every single summer since then he's been a free agent so I sign him again for free and use him as an exchange for a transfer haha. basically Dortmund based money laundering in the game haha

i don't think so. was on the bench for their first game of the season, but not in the squad for the second.

Everton are being linked to Brereton Diaz for less than £10m. Hopefully this Diaz doesn't get away!
