Kinda cool to see the four countries that invest the most in the women's game be represented here, but also provides some pretty stark evidence that so much of the men's money probably needs redistributed to growing the women's game internationally.

France, England, and Spain have spent a lot trying to bring it up to speed in the last decade or so.

 

I had guessed Netherlands over Spain but wasn't sure.

 

Theyre definitely up there. Norway and Sweden have done a fair amount too.

 

Stayed up to watch this as I wanted to see who Orlando would be matched up against in the final. Enjoyed every minute of that match. I will admit though, Sacramento is leaving me slightly on edge about pulling off the win in the final.
They are so disciplined sitting deep and if there is one thing Orlando has shown they struggle with the most, it’s breaking down deep lying defenses and creating quality chances. If we can get the opportunities to counter, that might be our best bet.

 

Yeah Sacramento has one of the best defenses in the USL Championship, I think they are fourth in Goals Against in the entire division. Their attack is nowhere near that level and is why they are fighting for a playoff spot in the West. We had a helluva time breaking them down when DCFC played them and they even got two past us.

 

Again going to hype up the USL Championship in this thread, especially if you have ESPN+ and have access to watching the games. The playoff push is on for a ton of clubs and its getting to the business end of the season. It's probably due to having a team in the league this year but man have I really enjoyed watching this year, even beyond games my club is playing.
