Posting this again just incase we've got any stragglers. The new season kicks off a week on Friday.

 

I hate my first attempt at a team

 

I know you're not new to the game but if you act like you are and just copy the template team from the official fantasy.premierleague.com Twitter that they put out today then you'll have a good base to work with. It'll help you with structure more than anything else.

 

I just feel like there aren’t many good “bargains” this year. Feels like everyone got more expensive.

 

I’ve changed my team 100 times already

 

I’ve never done this before, can’t wait to fail spectacularly

 

Martinelli seems like a bargain though

 

I've been playing since about 2008 and I still get worse every year somehow. I wouldn't worry about it. :D

 

Feel this, but 2012. Meanwhile @Big Un can somehow put together lightning in a bottle every single week.

 

Love the coverage DCFC has been getting from one of the bigger media outlets. TMFJ has to be one of the more under the radar interesting people in the US Soccer scene.

 

Whole thing is pure luck the majority of the time, but this year FPL will be much easier for new players as you get to basically rip up your team and start again like 3 times over the course of a season; 2x wildcards and unlimited free transfers during the world cup

 

Chelsea should give double middle fingers to Barca but I have a feeling this deal happens lol

Kounde has been at the top of my wish list for Barca so I’m actually excited about this one. If somehow all the money things end up working out okay, Xavi has a beast of a squad to work with.

I saw FDJ was playing CB last night....is that gonna keep being a thing?

 

It was a thing under Koeman for a bit, so it's a position he can cover, but I don't see him jumping above any of the CBs on the roster.

 

FDJ played a bunch of CB when with Ajax. Their system had him as a CDM but he would often slide deep in between the CBs and function as a third which allowed the outside players to push forward more aggressively.

 

Why do Barca even need Azpilicueta?

 

If he stays I really hope ETH brings him on in like the 90th minute of every Europa League game.

 

Alba's only true back-up is Dest, who doesn't have a true back-up (which is why Araujo has played there out of position a bit and Kounde is also known to cover it every now and then; Sergi Roberto has been out of position there for years, too). I think it's a cheap, short market opportunity for a Spanish international who wants to move back to Spain.

 

Another name on the list for a potential AM incoming. Maddison and Zaniolo are the other 2 I've seen. Maddison would obviously be a great addition and he helps with the HG stuff. But I think Zaniolo is my top choice. His injury history is a bit scary but my goodness he is good on the ball. He is a perfect fit for Conte's style of play.
