I know it's just a friendly but that ref in the Bayern-City game was the worst I have seen in a long, long time. And I regularly watch sunday league games. Blowing the whistle at 80 minutes sharp when Zirkzee was basically through towards the goal was just the pinnacle.

Bayern looked brutal until that final rush of subs towards the end, but the officiating was terrible. The goal called back, the penalty that led to the Haaland goal, the final whistle, and plenty in between. Some of those cards were nuts.

I understand his frustrations completely, but if that's the case he needs to tell these players & their agents to fuck off and find new clubs now. And also tell those dealing with the clubs transfers to stop wasting time on Jules Kounde, who evidently does not want to join CFC, and focus their efforts on (at least) 1-2 first team-ready players that are perhaps not "big names" but have the right mentality/attitude

Be twice the ocean. Be twice the land.

So excited for the Barclays. This is the most prepared we've been for a new season in what seems like a decade?

I am prepared to get hurt once again.

It’s been at least two months since Arsenal made me sad, kind of miss it again lol

Raphinha scored an absolute cracker last night.

  12. If Barca ends up hijacking Kounde from Chelsea, I hope it sends them into a spiral. They don't seem to be in a good place right now.

Honestly, they need a cb, a wing back, a DM/CM, a winger or two and I’d say a CF.

They might struggle early on this season I think. Luckily their August fixtures look very favourable other than playing yourselves.

Plot twist: he got 2 assists today. Who knows what's going to happen?

As someone who has mostly been “why are we spending all this money on signings?”, it’s still hilarious to me that we’ve beat Chelsea on Dembele, Raphinha, Lewandowski (supposedly, don’t buy this one as much), and now Kounde… as well as taking Christensen from them on a free. Really makes my curious about their behind the scenes culture that turns players away from a team so recently removed from winning the UCL. Is it Tuchel?

One Knox made the elite eight in the USL 2 playoffs last night in our first season. Hoping to make the elite eight game next weekend.

I would assume the ownership uncertainty over the last few months is a deterrent. While the new ownership spent a record deal to buy the team, it’s still TBD how they choose to run it and invest. That could be a turnoff for some players who want to immediately be competitive.

Then again, Barca doesn’t offer anything that resembles certainty for the immediate future on the financial side, so maybe that isn’t it.

The USL2 playoffs have been batshit from what I have seen. I think there is only 1 top seed left and the rest of them got knocked out in the first round. I was hoping you guys would end up playing Asheville for more a local derby in the Semis. Rooting for you guys and the Michigan Bucks to make it to the finals.

Speaking of craziness in USL world, the USL Championship is getting into the final third of the season. Both divisions are still up for grabs with the East having 4 teams fighting for the top spot and the West has 3 teams fighting for the top spot.

The wildest stat though is that in the West, there is chance that none of the prior Western Conference champions will make the playoffs.

Yeah Phx Rising and Orang County being in the bottom half is weird. It was a nice result from Loyal this week to eek out 3 points without their two best players.

I think we split the games with Asheville in the regular season, winning the away and losing at home. We're very similar cities so they really dove into the instant rivalry.
