I was looking at going to Vegas and then hitting the Mighty Five for a long hiking trip and our dates were tentative for September and I was very thankful we checked the weather and decided to not do that.

I don't mind the heat at all, I quite enjoy it in fact. What I hate is how much I sweat out of my head. I've been toying with the idea of wearing a bandana but I don't want to look like a Glam Rock arsehole lol

I feel this and it's led to me wearing a lot of hats in the summer. But I wear a cooling towel like a bandana when running and highly recommend.

I was trying to describe myself to someone

It's an amazing temperature here to wander around in, so long as you don't actually have to do anything. This is not a temperature that the Brits (or any infrastructure here) are built for. I'm lurking in the office (aircon), then going to the gym (more aircon) and then going home to my flat, with its massive, south west facing windows (no aircon). I will presumably find a melted cat and a temperature in my bedroom more in line with a sauna...

When I lived in Barcelona, i had 36c/98f one day, but today 40c/104f is the hottest anywhere I have lived.

the difference between that kind of temperature in the UK compared to the US or Europe is crazy. It’s waaaay less comfortable here.

Think I had about 35-37c one time in Rhodes on holiday. Today the forecast is 32c with a "feels like" of 34c, then tomorrow is 37c with a "feels like" of 40c.

I actually kinda wouldn't mind it today if I didn't have to work.

Oh for sure. Island aren't really supposed to get that hot with the continual sea breeze and whatnot. At some point, in my experience, anything about 90 is pretty miserable and it's whether or not the humidity is compounding it or the aridness is drying you out from the inside.

Am I the only one who missed this one?!

I've not really seen any games he's featured in for a long while so do not know how he has been playing for the past few years, but this feels like a step down that I did not expect him to take.

I lived in Bahrain for a bit so I’m sure that’s the hottest temperature I’ve experienced but I don’t know what it was. It’s broken 100 here in Va though

couldn't even tell you how many 105 degree days have happened in michigan. Probably a dozen in the last 20 years. I don't know how people in the southern US survive. I was in New Orleans in June and it just sucks, weather-wise.

I was in the south of France when I was a kid when the thermometers were reading 50c. I don't know if it quite got there officially but it was absolutely sweltering.

I think like 39/40c the first time I went to NYC. That was rough. We left NYC for the cool and lovely surroundings for 36c Orlando.

Not the same at all, but I went to Costa Rica one year for my birthday and it was 97F on Christmas Eve when we took off and 48F in Orlando when we landed and this just reminded me of that. Also flew to Iceland and it was 95F in Cincinnati when we left and 36F in Iceland when we landed.

every winter I yearn for a polar vortex like the one in 2014 where it seemed like it was below 0 (fahrenheit) for like a month straight

absolutely despise hot weather, I can not cope in it. Chicago had an awful week of around 100 a few weeks ago but otherwise summer hasn’t been that bad yet

hope all your europe folks stay cool

Wind should not be this warm. It’s like being under a hair dryer constantly.

And I don’t mean wind coming from me lol.

San Diego here. The worst part of this warming trend is the humidity that we now get in the summer.

Getting Jesus and Zinchenko for Arsenal is very good business.
