I assumed it was re: us following English teams

 

I actually know that Nick is Irish and I assumed that at least one of the other ones is American (bold assumption I know). It was more or less tongue-in-cheek. But I really hate it when people complain about international games that much. Every player longs to play for their national team eventually. I don't get all the hate these games get regularly. They are necessary, just deal with it.

 

it’s coming home

 

I'm English and am quite happy with watching England play at the moment.

I don't like much else about being English right now, mind.

 

I feel no connection to our football team because of our inept and corrupt association. Won't be watching an Ireland match until there is whole sale changes.

 

I am at the point where I couldn’t fathom supporting a sports team representing USA

 

lots to dislike about international federations/etc. also find a lot of the actual football to be rather bland, which isn’t surprising given these teams come together for a week, so of course they lack cohesiveness and fluidity. the big tournaments are always enjoyable because tons of people who do not usually watch the sport tune in (at least here in the states), so you get a whole different atmosphere.

 

I’m used to bland football week in week out atm, so internationals are a nice break. Chelsea are at Everton/West Ham levels of shite without Hazard playing, this game on now is atrocious (0 shots on target in 1st half)

Shocking refereeing performance that will probably relegate a team, and nothing will happen to the ref. He's just jog out next weekend like nothing has happened.

 

warnock wanted to beat up sarri

 

I hate Warnock so much he is about the only manager I wouldn’t want to get up in Sarri’s face lol. To give credit, it was brilliant how he went up to the officials after the game, right in the centre circle, and just stared them down in complete silence

 

This game has been exhausting

Spurs never win when it matters. They need massive upgrades to get to the next level.
