Orlando City with an embarrassing loss to the club that has been the worst over the last 3 seasons. I've never seen so many clear cut chances booted into the stands. And we have the Galaxy next week. Not too optimistic about our chances.

Genuine question... Is Maguire the worst value for money signing in PL history?

 

He’s up there.

And even tho Grealish hasn’t been like awful, I think he could be if he doesn’t greatly improve. 100m for bench player level play so far.

 

Us paying £35m for Andy Carroll didn't work out too well.

Romero is definitely going to be a player every other team hates and I’m good with it lol

 

Yeah Maguire certainly ain’t worth the money we paid but for the most part he’s solid unlike others like you say that had absolutely no impact whatsoever. Last year he was most good to quite good. I actually think the way we set up works against Maguire, with a keeper that will come off his line and help structure the defence he would be better but we don’t have that, I’d put his bigger struggles down to the make up of the team in the defensive third.


Even yesterday Maguire was very good, even with the own goal he had to go for it, if he didn’t Romero was right behind him. If he doesn’t go for it, Spurs get a tap in. Tough moment. I thought Romero was offside, but you have to play to the whistle.

 

55m or whatever it was for Ndombele has been our worst deal in awhile.

Lukaku seemed like the absolutely perfect missing piece for that Chelsea team and he’s literally being shown up by attacking midfielders playing false 9s. Easily the worst, imo

 

Van de Beek for €40m was worse for us too.
