I wonder if he considered renouncing his Russian citizenship and just riding the Portuguese and Israeli citizenships he also has. I honestly don't know much about him other than he's extremely rich, Russian, and Jewish. Is he actually in Putin's inner circle or is this just in the general push to make as many powerful Russians as uncomfortable as possible economically?

 

There’s some good articles out there but he made his money under Boris Yeltsin, even living in the Kremlin at one point, then transitioned to being a close advisor to Putin. He once said they have a “father and son” like relationship.
