Saw someone say one scenario is that the Government could seize it as an asset, force a sale and run it till a sale can be achieved.

Mad set of results yesterday. I don't understand how Everton didn't get a penalty. Has someone been getting the beers in at Stockley Park or something?

I'm also staggered at how the bottom of the table has morphed in the last 6 weeks. I thought Burnley were toast, along with Watford before. Now it looks like Norwich are doomed, Burnley have turned it around and Leeds and Brentford are sleepwalking right into it all.

Everton's position looks bad, but with two games in hand, they could easily pull themselves free. If they cock those up though, they're right in the mess.

Increasingly impressed with Howe as well. I liked him as a coach, but I really didn't think he'd be able to handle the basket case nature of Newcastle. The team now looks ready to give anyone a scrap. There's still clear limitations in the squad, but there's such an obvious belief now. I also can't believe how much he's turned around Fraser, Joelinton and Willock.

It says a lot about Bruce that he couldn't figure out how to deploy Joelinton for 18 months and Howe had him nailed down after about 2 weeks.

 

Yeah, lovely piece of management. Joelinton looks made for that no.8 role.

 

Bummed to be missing the Seville Derby this morning. Guaranteed to be excellent and feisty. Should be home in time for Barca-Athletic. Big day for the European spots.

 

Just seen yesterday's games. Cannot believe the Everton - Man City penalty decision. One of the clearest penalties I have EVER seen. Our refereeing is a total shambles.
