  1. Could be a good signing for us.

His agent told them yesterday that he’s already agreed to a new contract/club somewhere else (but wouldn’t say where). Apparently Chelsea’s offer was extremely good, but he still turned it down.

It’s gotta be Madrid. Mbappe and Dembele on frees to flank Benzema/(Haaland?).

I can't see Madrid going for Dembele when they have Vini and Mbappe, unless Dembele wants to sit on the bench there instead?

I keep forgetting that Vini is legit great now. I was mostly thinking about how they’re going to offload Hazard and Bale, but you’re right.

JFC. I know it’s not the main thing, but it astounds me that on Friday this man was regarded as one of the top 10 young prospects in the world, and on Tuesday we think his career is over and he may facr a lengthy jail spell.

What a horrific, abhorrent, stupid man.

Been having a think about the transfer window.

Unfortunately I think the club is still seeing the affects of the Gazidis/Sanhelli reigns.

Underperforming players on huge wages that we obviously can’t sell or even give away. Money being endlessly poured down the drain on players like Kolasinac, Lacazette, etc, that aren’t bad players, but were taking up huge financial resources without a way of shedding them.

Realistically, we also weren’t likely to spend too much. We spent a LOT in the summer, very well i might add. But we needed to move players on and the aforementioned issues combined with a pandemic market meant we couldn’t get fees for certain players.

I think we should have got a player or two in on loan, but we should save about 750k a week on wages now which is massive. We’re gearing up for another big summer, but it feels like an opportunity missed.

We’re light up top, but hopefully Pepe’s great form continues and Martinelli might be being lined up to play as a striker. Either way, i see us finishing 5th-6th most likely.

Have people been seeing what’s happening at Raith Rovers? They signed David Goodwillie

Raith Rovers women’s captain resigns amid fury over David Goodwillie signing

they’ve just released the following statement:

As announced on our website last night, Raith Rovers FC can confirm that we have signed David Goodwillie from Clyde FC.

David is a proven goal scorer, and this will be his second stint with the club, having previously played for us on loan from Dundee United during season 2007-08.

As with all new signings, the club has carefully considered our position as a Community Club and we completely respect the differing views among fans and stakeholders, many of whom we have spoken to directly in the past 24 hours and are continuing to engage with.

As David has previously played for Raith Rovers earlier in his career, we consider him to be part of Raith Rovers Football Club. The management team is familiar with David’s career and background and – in particular – his footballing ability. That is our foremost consideration, and we believe that he will strengthen the Raith Rovers playing squad.

Please be assured that as a community football club we fully acknowledge this signing has divided opinion amongst our loyal fans and commercial stakeholders; We aim to rebuild that trust.

While acknowledging the gravity of what happened ten years ago, as a club we fully support and encourage rehabilitation, and many factors influenced our signing.

First and foremost, this was a football related decision.

A football related decision? Fucking hell.

For those unaware, David is a rapist. You can find the notes of the case online and it is absolutely awful.

Shirt sponsorships cancelled. Players leaving. He's not playing tonight but wow, it's not "divisive" - it's pretty clear the right thing to do here.

  20. I feel pretty confident that Spurs will buy one of Lamptey, Spence, or Maehle this summer.

The club has lost a lot of fans, a few sponsorships, two board members, SLO, announcer, and some players over this…

The club could be on track to literally dissolve itself.

The only way out if cancel the contract, get the people back on the proviso the four board members and anyone who was behind the signing resigns.

    I do not exist.

Goodwillie has played 121 games for Clyde over the last few years. Why did none of their fans get involved?

Good to see so many people making a stand. Shame the only actual footballer is the woman’s captain. Silence from the men’s team so far.

This is literally the best video ever. Big up the bossman running and celebrating and losing all co-ordination at 14/15 seconds in whilst everyone else looks to have lost their mind.

This is what football is all about.
