Is Liverpool expected to sell Mane or Firmino soon? I think the most maddening part of them swooping in is that they’re already loaded up front.

They want to sell Origi and Minamino instead, I think.

Who knows what could happen in the summer, though? Apparently, Liverpool only wanted Diaz in then but the Spurs interest has obviously forced their hand to buy him now. In the summer, there could be further chop and changing to Liverpool's attacking options. Salah could even leave...

I actually don’t think I’d mind him coming to Spurs as a backup for 6 months. We have been looking for a backup to Kane for years.

 

Tbf he'd probably more than Lacazette lol

 

Mane, Firmino, and Salah’s contracts are all up in summer 2023. All will be 30+ years in age by that time.

Of the three, I’d give Salah a blank check. Mane feels most expendable, which maybe explains the Diaz move?

Seems like we have a decent backup if Neuer gets injured.

 

Should fit in really well and, as you've said, will be the replacement for Mane if he does. Perfect stylistically; pace, control, change of direction, the way he draws defenders towards him when he cuts in. Was glad he didn't sign for Everton last summer.

Will have to see how he adjusts to the Premier League in the middle of a season.
