Just forfeit then. I don’t care. It’s not worth risking even more exposure.

  7. Shocking that Rennes wants to play us when we only have 10 outfield players available…

In typical press overreaction... a lot of reports that Barcelona are willing to sell ter Stegen, Dest, F. de Jong, Umtiti, Lenglet, Neto in January. Not sure why selling our top two keepers is the move, or two of our four centerbacks, or the only right back we have not 39 years old... but, I could see them cashing in on Frenkie.

Xavi really wants Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres to flank Memphis/Ansu. But maybe getting a left back like Gaya from Valencia and a centerback like Kounde would be more integral to the team's problems (which, to be fair, finishing is a problem... but Aguero's freak heart condition and Ansu getting re-injured are to blame there, not like the abject failure of the back line in the last two seasons outside of Araujo).

Hull v Everton picked for live BBC coverage? What could go wrong...

  12. Spurs will take Dest and FDJ

  13. It’s looking more and more like Spurs v Brighton will also be postponed. Spurs have shutdown first team training completely. Only good news from today is that there hasn’t been any reported new positives today.

  14. Leicester on Thursday also in jeopardy

  15. Love how rival fans are complaining about this being an advantage for us lol

We’re going to have so many games in a very tight window coming up. After half our team getting covid and potentially carrying lingering effects from it.

Arsenal fans are complaining because we had to play the first game of the season during our own outbreak, however i like to think that we had to take that fall for the PL to learn, and now they are doing the right and responsible thing.

as an aside though, i don’t see when you are going go fit in these games AT ALL.

To be fair, Arsenal had way fewer cases though, right?

  18. Yeah, Arsenal had like 3-4 cases. Spurs are anywhere between 13-20 from what I’ve read (that’s including players, staff, and others at the training ground). We had a player test positive right after he had participated in training. It’s an outbreak and the only way to stop it was to shut down.

5, but they didn’t really know that at the time. We discovered 5 but they didn’t really give us a chance to test all of our players. I think that we discovered it the same day was the reason.

A difficult situation but it shouldn’t have gone ahead.

  20. Yeah, I definitely don’t think it was fair to Arsenal to play. I think they would’ve made us play if we didn’t keep having new cases every day of the week. Seems like it was not contained at all once it started spreading at Tottenham.

Pretty sure Newcastle already had a game postponed in the run to the end of last season. Similar to Spurs it was a big outbreak and resulted in training having to shut down. We had several players knackered for ages after it. No idea why they didn't postpone that Arsenal match early on. I'm not sure where you draw the line between saying that you have a squad to use for a reason and accepting the club is compromised.
